This is good

Since the front office and coaching staff are highly likely to be here for a while, this is the next best thing.

Dump every player that looks average or worse. Why not? We suck anyways.

On reading the article a couple of thoughts:
- While firing Tannenbaum would be great, this to me is a pipe dream. He's firmly entrenched in the seat of power in Miami for the foreseeable future. His best bet, if Grier is even an average talent evaluator, is to hand him the keys to player acquisition in both free agency and the draft. It's clear Tannenbaum does not know talent, and he needs to step far away from the decision making machine here. Let Gase and Grier work it together.
- Trading Pouncey is an excellent idea, made better by the luck of stumbling on a cheap, suitable replacement in Steen. I'd do this tomorrow if I were GM.
- Trading Tannehill is a fairly good idea, but you need to get him on a hot streak first - assuming he has one left. I'd try and get 2 or 3 good games out of him and THEN shop him. With any luck, someone in contention suffers an injury which would send his value up more than it would otherwise be.
- Releasing Foster is a no brainer. I'd do it just to rub Tannenbaum's nose in another terrible free agent buy.
- Maxwell is probably here for 2016 because we are so thin at CB, any warm body is better than nothing. Once the clock strikes midnight week 17, he should be a goner. No value in keeping him any longer, he's worthless - especially in our scheme that asks him to actually tackle somebody. Rip the bandaid off and eat the dead money now, to clear him off the books as soon as possible.

I like the five.

Arian Foster - Only made sense if the Phins were gonna be competing for a playoff spot IMO. And I cancelled Sunday Ticket because I knew they were gonna stink bad enough to cause spontaneous combustion!!!

Pouncey - Has not been worth a lick-spittle since Philbin got to town. Get rid of him.

Tannenbaum - After seeing the clusterfudge they had when he was with the Jets, I suspected he would "clever" his way into a shytefudgefest in Miami. It certainly is beginning to look like that as of now.

Tannehill - Yep, we were all hoping he would turn the corner, but I am afraid, there is no corner. Just endless circles of inconsistency and an astounding talent for making the other players around him WORSE!!! That is one thing that your QB cannot be IMO: A talent subtractor!!

Maxwell - Eh...Tannenbaum being clever and showing everyone how smart he really is. Trade down and get two starters and a 1st round pick. Oooh, how clever! I never thought Maxwell was all that good anyway. I would much rather have kept Grimes (for less money and less of his nutty wife!).

Funny, but if you actually look at the team, the starting talent might be around the same as last year (MAYBE?) but the backups are abysmal.

Tannebaum has taken a bad team and made them worse. And not as part of a plan to GET BETTER either!! What is truly sad is Tannebaum and Ross both thought this team was going to be stellar!

If it wasn't so sad, it would almost be comical.

Almost...

Oh yeah, this team would MURDER the 2015 squad for sure!

Yeah right. Dan Campbell would take the 2015 squad and run the ball right down our throats all day even worse than the Titans did. Brent Grimes would have at least 3 interceptions too.

Cutting bad players won't matter until the main issue with this team is fixed: we need a competent person running the operation.  Until Ross and Tannenbaum are gone, this organization will continue to be a shitshow.  Cutting crappy players only to bring in more crappy players fixes nothing.  We need someone in charge that can both hire a legit head coach AND draft legit players.

Yup, if they want to fix it, as I said in another post, they have to give the new guy complete autonomy to pick the coach, roster, and front office staff. Let him come in and clean house.

You do that, GM stars will line up. That's a dream job.
