Re: Post Combine Mock Draft
Hey Hal - I'm just going to go out on a limb here and guess that you really want the Phins to draft Trey Hendrickson!
Peppers might be a good fit if the Phins want to go with Birdmond's big nickel base D.

re: drafting Hendrickson. Yeah, it'd be cooler if they did.
Just hoping to see more picks than we currently have, and those picks used wisely. Looking at this year's WR crop, trading up for Carroo looks like a big mistake right now.

It looked like a big mistake THEN.
When's the draft, already? Is the NFL still dragging it out until May?
I'm rooting for Hendrickson to be picked just to have an FAU player on the team

Yep, the Carroo trade looks worse every day.
If the Phins trade Parker on draft day - which wouldn't surprise me at all - then Carroo will get a chance to start. Otherwise, he's looking at no better than #4 on the depth chart...on a team that doesn't really use more than 3 wide receivers. He better learn to play special teams this offseason...

Pretty sure they moved the draft back to April 27th and that's awesome.

Great pick at 5-22 in Kittle, and I also like Braden. I like that draft.
I have one question, why hasn't anyone other than the Tannehill guy drafted a QB in their mocks?

An excellent draft. And probably worlds better than what we will actually get.

Re: Post Combine Mock Draft
My updated 4/14 mock. I focused on what I think Grier and Tannenbaum need to do; trade down to the value likely to be found in rounds 2-4, build up the front seven and tne interior O-line and take advantage of a deep group of D-backs. Unfortunately I wasn't able to address the safety position the way I wanted:
Your Picks:
Round 2 Pick 21 (DET): Jarrad Davis, ILB, Florida (A)
Round 2 Pick 22: Dion Dawkins, OG, Temple (A)
Round 2 Pick 26 (SEA): Kevin King, CB, Washington (A)
Round 3 Pick 1 (CLE): Tyus Bowser, OLB, Houston (A)
Round 3 Pick 5 (LAR): Tarell Basham, DE/OLB, Ohio (A-)
Round 3 Pick 31 (ATL): Tyler Orlosky, C, West Virginia (A+)
Round 3 Pick 33 (COMP): Vincent Taylor, DT, Oklahoma State (A-)
Round 4 Pick 1 (CLE): Isaac Asiata, OG, Utah (B+)
Round 4 Pick 34 (LAR): Corn Elder, CB, Miami (Fla.) (B)
Round 5 Pick 22: Sam Rogers, FB, Virginia Tech (A+)
Round 5 Pick 34 (COMP): Jadar Johnson, SS, Clemson (C+)
Round 5 Pick 40 (COMP): Conor McDermott, OT, UCLA (B+)
Round 7 Pick 5: Stevie Tu'ikolovatu, DT, Southern California (A-)

Re: Post Combine Mock Draft
Man, every time I look at mock drafts it KILLS me to think of the picks we traded for Carroo. Terrible foresight by Tannenbaum - this draft is absolutely loaded and it was stupid to trade away primo picks for a benchwarmer.

A big blunder. This draft is not only loaded with DB's, but WR's too. Pretty deep at TE. It's a great year to get pass catching targets and those who can stop them. Some talented players at these positions will fall into day 3 easily. There will be players in rounds 4-7 at least as good as Carroo.

Re: Post Combine Mock Draft
I have to agree. Carroo was one of the worst moves that Miami made next to moving up for Jordan.
