looks like he was more fired than reassigned.....

I read the same at the time. In a "save face" type announcement the team used the word reassigned, when his new role was actually non-existent.

Good riddance. No ill will towards the person, but the architect and leader of a football operation he is not.

And Tannenbaum continues to be a Karma Houdini. Hired by a network that's laying people off left and right to spout opinions on something he clearly knows nothing about? What's he going to do, tell listeners that this team really really REALLY needs to trade up no matter what it takes? Laughing Laughing Laughing At least they relegated him to radio.

It's a big club. It's the same reason a shit coach bounces around the league for awhile before he's finally done enough damage for them to move them back to coordinators, or in the worst case, back to college.
