Game Day Dolphins at Redskins

Now it counts. I honestly don't know what to expect after to many years of heartbreak from this team. I just can't wait to sit back and watch this game and see what this new Dolphin's team is about.

No excuses. No excuses. NO EXCUSES.

We need a win to start this season off, against arguably the worse team in the league.

My expectations for the year are not high, but they are high for this game. Really, this should be an easy win.

One thing that has plagued the Philbin era has been slow starts in games. Too many times I've seen this team sleepwalk for the first 2 and even 3 quarters in games, often against bad teams. That has to end, and today would be a good time to change it. There is absolutely no excuse for letting this Redskins team be in the game - none. Go out, win decisively, and move on.

There are no easy wins in the NFL. On paper we are the better team. On game day anything will and can happen.

Just my luck, after moving from SWFL last year to the DC area, my work is literally 5 minutes from FedEx Field. Of course, work comes first, so I can not attend the game. Sucks for me. Anyway, I just noticed the inactives for the game. Jamar Taylor, Will Davis and Lippett. Are we running real thin in the D secondary? We'll see.

Not sure about Offense , ST, secondary, and Philbert BUT DL should be awesome to watch barring injury.

You don't defer the kickoff and let the team march right down the field to score. Wake and Suh already sicking wind on first drive.

The fact the D line is getting their arse kicked is a bit surprising though.

The pass defense has always been terrible, and will be as long as Coyle is the D Coord IMHO.

You cannot run the ball and the other team is running all over you; that is a recipe for an arse kicking I am thinking.

And Philbin is too stupid to try anything radical to fix it IMO.

I've said it before, but to expound, this lack of a short-yardage package is going to absolutely lose us three or four games this season, minimum.

Thouroughly unimpressed with Suh. Looks winded. Missing tackles, getting blocked. Entire team looks like shit.

Grimes and Reshad Jones look like the only ones interested.

Looked like a pretty blatant Offensive PI there, but whatever. We're not going to see any appreciable difference in this team, regardless of today's outcome, until this coaching staff is replaced by Mangini and company at the end of the season.

Jones gets pushed to ground on TD pass to Reed. He was falling back, but Reed definitely pushed him to ground. But whatever, the skins are dominating the Fins. Embarrassing.

If he's really winded and out of shape, that falls partly on his shoulders, but mostly on the coaching/training staff.
