When that pick was made I INSTANTLY stared bashing it and was literally attacked by EVERYONE else at the time. People were saying things like, "Fletcher makes it impossible for teams to pass against the Fins!" and quoting how often the nickel CB was actually on the field in order to basically say Fletcher was a de facto starter. I of course wondered why they were taking a CB I had personally seen get torched and scorched by Freddie Freaking Mitchell in his final game, especially when they already had a top pass D but were mediocre against the run. Oh, and there was the little matter of passing up Brees as well that I took exception to. EVERYTHING about that pick was so wrong on so many levels and yet at that time I was the ONLY one who could see it, and looking back it's just so infuriating and hilarious at the same time. But amends and apologies have been made, this isn't about that. You just happened to bring it up...

We didn't know each other at the time, but I thought the Jamar Fletcher pick was one of the worst we've ever made, considering what was on the board at that time.
