I thought that Ross said this team is the fans team. So, I not understanding why he would go after someone that has no proof of skills in coaching.

That last point can be picked apart, and rightly so, but hearing him speak and looking at him, a room full of mostly African-American guys are going to shake their heads, mentally, and think, show me don't tell me motherfucker.

Yeah, I've watched several Gase press conferences now, and personality-wise he just seems like a younger version of Philbin - a nice guy, but boring and monotone. This is not a leader of men, IMO.

We better get a VERY strong defensive coordinator, because if Gase is going to call offensive plays he won't have time to keep an eye on defense. It works in Green Bay because they have Capers running the D...not sure we'll get someone of that caliber.

What a shit show.

Vance Joseph is being reported as the new DC, not official until Cincy is eliminated from playoffs.

Well, I have no qualms about a young head coach being hired that might be around here for at least a decade. Let's just hope that he's a good coach. Law of averages would dictate we can't choose poorly every time, right?

Vance Joseph, defensive backs coach with the Bengals. Do you guys remember the last Bengals' defensive backs coach that became a Dolphins' DC? That's right...Kevin Coyle.

So now we have a young head coach with no head coaching experience, and a young defensive coordinator with no coordinating experience. Might as well have kept Campbell and Anarumo.

Gase is talking now...hopefully I can stay awake through the whole thing.  LOL

Well, never mind...he only talked for about 2 minutes and said nothing.  Now he's taking questions.

Very, very uninspiring so far. Looks nervous and overwhelmed.

BTW, Tannenbaum said that Gase will have final say on personnel. Huh??? A guy with no experience is going to have final say on the roster? Why do we have a GM??? This makes no sense.

I'm already over it. I'm just finished stressing bout the moves this team makes.

Gase gets his three years, unless year one and two are so bad it's obvious he's the wrong guy. We won't know until live action starts in September. Go fins and all that.
