Parker misses second practice in a row
Chris Perkins wrote:Miami Dolphins wide receiver DeVante Parker, whose rookie season was shortened due to a foot injury, didn’t participate in Monday’s organized team activities, which means he’s missing his second consecutive practice due to an undisclosed ailment.
Parker, the 2015 first-round pick from Louisville, didn’t participate in Wednesday’s practice last week.
Also, guard Jermon Bushrod, the free agent signee from Chicago, participated in his first OTA practice media is allowed to watch Monday. Bushrod, a converted tackle, is expected to compete for a starting job.

Well this is not what I was expecting from this guy but at the same time I wasn't surprised that he is still having issue with foot still. Well he becoming a wasted pick.

Re: Parker misses second practice in a row
Yes, whenever anyone mentions drafting a WR in the 1st round, I get the dreaded Yatil-Green Fever!!!!
Gonna be a bad development if Parker is sidelined. He is the only hope for a deep passing threat IMO. Stills stinks...or stunk it up last year.
Still, this may all be precautionary.
Parker looked like he was really coming on last season late. If he and Tannehill can provide ANY kind of deep passing threat, one the opposing defense HAS TO try to prevent, it would REALLY open things up for the offense IMO.
I hope the Phins have finally found a cure for the dreaded Yatil-Green Fever!

Let's hope it's not the foot. Even a minor foot issue would be a real bad sign.

Exactly.......Parker foot was never fully healed and the fact that he is having issue now mean that he going to be a problem later.

I said it when Parker was drafted. He's going to be AJ Green. He'll be knicked up a lot but he'll play and when he does he'll dominate. Gase said he's just not taking any chances with Devonte which tells me Gase knows what he's got in Parker. Also makes the Caroo pick that much more impressive.

Re: Parker misses second practice in a row
When I hear a coach say he's not taking chances with a player in early June at OTAs, I'd say that's a bad sign. They're barely doing anything now, and Parker has to be handled with care? Ugh...not felling good about that, no matter how much the Phins want to downplay it.

most everybody is downplaying, except for the guy's whose opinion really matters...
Christensen, on receiver DeVante Parker missing time in the past week with an undisclosed health issue that the team insists is nothing significant: “It’s never good to miss practice because it’s new stuff. … We’ve got to have guys who practice. We need him out there as quick as possible.”

Re: Parker misses second practice in a row
That's the thing...this time of year the most important thing is installing the new schemes and getting the playbook down. Only so much of that can be done on the sideline. If the guy that is arguably our biggest hope to turn the offense around isn't able to participate now, that means he's already behind. Parker doesn't seem like the sharpest tool in the shed to begin with - he can't afford to miss much time again.
