Re: My first round NFL mock draft
Been hearing rumors that the Giants have been looking at Justin Herbert. Sounds like they don't have faith in Daniel Jones

Re: My first round NFL mock draft
If Simmons actually falls all the way to NINE, every GM whose team had the 2nd-8th picks must be fired immediately.
And yes, there's absolutely no doubt in my mind that Dave Gettleman's taking an O-lineman at #4.

I have no idea why Jordan Love is so highly touted. He's got second string career crap QB written all over him.

Teams really are that desperate for a QB. Fear-based reasoning will ALWAYS be harmful in the long run and usually the short run too.

That always seems to be the case. It's why drafting for need is the worst possible thing you can do unless the player available is really the best one on the board.

Re: My first round NFL mock draft
The thing with Simmons is, he may be too versatile for some teams. The "jack of all trades" types don't fit every scheme. He's a superstar in the right system, but to some teams he might be viewed as a raw LB and more of a tweener.
If he does drop that far, I wonder if the Phins would attempt to trade up for him???

I didn't want to, but it makes too much sense. At least we have Byron Jones and X. Howard!
Re: My first round NFL mock draft
EDIT: I switched Andrew Thomas and Tristan Wirfs. Wirfs has the higher ceiling IMO, but I think the Giants will take the plug-and-play guy that is better right now. Thomas will be a rock solid LT from day 1...Wirfs may need some time to develop. Seems like more of a Giants move to me.
