Phins trade Charles Harris...
...to the Falcons for a 7th round pick.
It was only a matter of time till Harris got axed. At least we got something for him.

Still not understanding the release of Taco to be honest but I glad we got something for Harris

Yeah, he just never did live up to what the Phins thought they were getting.

I guess there were no takers for even that for Charlton. Strange. While it's pretty much out there that Charlton's attitude was not what the coaching staff wanted, I'd think he'd be more marketable than Harris based on the 5 sacks last year.

Taco had zero chance of making the final roster and the coaches clearly weren't comfortable with him. That cut was a no-brainer, and I'm sure no teams were going to offer anything for him.

wow, i'm surprised the front office got anything at all for him. good job. apparently Harris had a good work ethic, but for whatever reason just hasn't been able to put it together on the field. just another poor evaluation and waste of a first round pick.

As a Mizzou fan I'm extra disappointed Harris was a bust but it was past time for him to move along. I'm amazed we got anything for him.

Yeah, Harris was a bit of a mystery. Supposedly he worked his ass off and was a real good guy, but just couldn't do anything on the field. Probably really frustrating to coach a guy like that.

You've got Charles Harris, I've got Paxton Lynch.

To be honest Miami hasn't had great luck with anyone from Mizzou. I know of a least two players that were from Mizzou that didn't do anything for Miami

The Phins have a lot of players from a lot of schools who never did anything for them. Except waste time, money, and draft picks.
But so do a lot of teams. It just seems like the Phins had a Long Long run of excessively bad drafting.
I still do not understand how you cannot hit on a few sleepers given enough picks?

I wonder that myself. There is no excuse to be doing so bad when it comes to the draft. Miami luck out on players like Williams and Needham last year and hope that their luck continues.

Yeah but I kinda knew that Michael Egnew might really suck it up in the pros. He had the physical attributes but really was overrated. I let my Mizzou and Dolphin homerism let me think he might be decent. With Harris, I thought it may take him a couple years to find his groove but I thought he at absolute worst would be a good pass rusher.
