Which Player Is Which?
Here are two real life receiving stat lines from two players who each spent six seasons in Miami.
Player A: 298 receptions, 4243 yards, 12 TDs, long of 80, 2 fumbles
Player B: 298 receptions, 4212 yards, 22 TDs, long of 56, 2 fumbles.
Who can tell me which players these are without looking it up?

I cheated, but I won't say.
Very interesting though.

without looking it up, I'll guess Brian Hartline and Duriel Harris (though Chris Chambers' numbers are probably really close to that too)

Just looked it up. I agree...interesting. I wasn't far off on the wrong pick.

Nope. Landry had way more catches than that. He also wasn't on the team 6 seasons.
Here's a hint: one player was a first round pick and the other was a 4th rounder.

Re: Which Player Is Which?
I'm going to guess player B is DeVante Parker? Only because he's the most successful first round WR Miami has ever drafted besides OJ McDuffie. No idea who player A is.
Re: Which Player Is Which?
OK, I cheated and looked up player A. WOW! Very interesting.
Player A played 9 more games with the Dolphins than Player B...for what it's worth. And no, 316, I'm not just saying that because I hate Player A!!

I prefer the undrafted WRs.... like this golden oldie....
He played 6 seasons... Was NoodleArms favorite receiver, had 227 receipts, 3252 yards, 22 TDs with 3 fumbles.
I don't like using a 1st rounder on a WR.
But... BUT... at some point you have to grit your teeth and hope you get some real offensive impact from the pick.

Okay, it's been long enough I think.
Player A is Hartline, player B is Parker.

Re: Which Player Is Which?
Parker clearly the more threatening weapon, illustrated by scoring almost double the TDs with similar stats across the board.
Not that I'm thrilled with Parker. He has proven without a doubt you cannot depend on him to stay healthy, just always dinged up.
I feel like the extension we signed him to was very reasonable. Would be shocked if we extended him again.

Re: Which Player Is Which?
Hartline was obviously a possession-type receiver made better by Tannehill's propensity to throw mid-range passes.
Parker is limited by himself. He's either brilliant, a JAG, or injured, nothing in between, nothing better. My opinion, he's not worth another contract. I'm rooting like hell for him though, because when he's fired up, he's good.

Re: Which Player Is Which?
When Parker is healthy, he's great - a borderline true #1 receiver. When he's not healthy, he becomes much less effective and is essentially a JAG.
The problem is, he's had just one season where he was fully healthy all year. At this stage, being 100% for him is the exception and not the rule. I have no problem keeping him this season, but there's a good chance he'll be playing elsewhere next season.
