Dolphins Week 1 depth chart
today 2 different sources (one being Sport Illustrated) are claiming that the Dolphins have released their week 1 depth chart, but there is still nothing on the team website.
https://www.si.com/nfl/dolphins/news/miami-dolphins-first-regular-season-depth-chart-features-key-changes
https://dolphinswire.usatoday.com/2021/09/07/miami-dolphins-release-week-1-depth-chart-ahead-of-patriots-game/
given all the different packages and Miami's desire to move people around, i'm not sure how much stock can be placed in these:
i think snap counts are better indicator than who actually lines up at the start of the game, but...
i'd be surprised if Grant sees more playing time than Wilson during Fullers absence. and depending on what happens with the Phins potentially having to replace LT Jackson, i could see Smythe and Carter getting an increase in snaps in helping secure the edge.
and i hope we see Jalean Phillips more than a 3rd stringer.

Re: Dolphins Week 1 depth chart
I think we will see more "packages" on both offense and defense, so the depth chart on this team is pretty meaningless.
As for Phillips - I'm fine letting him earn his stripes instead of just being handed a job. Once he starts making plays, he'll be almost impossible to take off the field IMO.

I have this sinking feeling that Jaelan Phillips is the equivalent of Dion Jordan.

Jae Phillips works out like an animal and has a desire to be the best and has a non-stop motor. Dion Jordan was lazy, out of shape and preferred smoking pot to playing football. There's nothing about them that's similar at all.
On the field, Phillips reminds me of a combination of Jason Taylor, Chandler Jones and Cameron Jordan. I have a strong feeling he's going to be a star.
