Will Fuller
I just read he wasn't at practice today. That doesn't bode well for him playing on Sunday. I still wonder if his time missing all these practices is due to another drug violation?

Re: Will Fuller
I don't know what's going on, but both he and Tua indicated that he practiced on Wednesday.
My early guess is that the Dolphins held him out of the portion of practice that is open to the media. That's something Belichick has done with players to prevent the opponent from getting any info on the gameplan. I could be wrong, but that's the first thing I thought of.

Yep. Sounds like he's on track for Sunday.......hopefully!
Re: Will Fuller
Will Fuller is OUT Sunday!!! Personal reasons.
There is speculation that it's a family issue, but that hasn't been confirmed.
Damn!

UPDATE: Sounds serious, whatever it is:
Forget football...I just hope Fuller and his family are OK.
Everything was great in his interview on Wednesday, and he was all smiles and talking about playing, so evidently something happened Wednesday night or Thursday morning.

Will Fuller will not practice today and will not play Sunday due to a personal issue, Brian Flores says. Flores declines to say if he believes Fuller will return to the team this season.

Flores, asked if Fuller will return to team this season, won't say. "One day at a time. He has my support. Things happen. When they happen, they're not part of normal every day, it's a surprise from that standpoint. He's dealing with it. We'll support him."

Hope he didn't go for a massage with Watson.

It seems like something that happened abruptly, since everything was perfect on Wednesday. And Flo said, "One day at a time. He has my support. Things happen. When they happen, they're not part of normal every day, it's a surprise from that standpoint. He's dealing with it. We'll support him."
To me, that points to a family emergency that just happened, rather than a drug issue. But who knows?????

I'm just not buying the press. Somethings been off since he arrived. I'm wondering if Grier did his due diligence?

Re: Will Fuller
Apparently there is speculation that something happened to Fuller's mother. Not sure if that is true, but right now that is the only potential explanation I'm seeing.
As far as I have heard, Fuller was in team meetings this summer and was at practice Wednesday, so I don't really see any red flags.

It doesn't matter if Fueller, Waddle, or any other receivers are on this team if the coaching staff can't design a game plan to get them the ball.

Yep - but it all comes down to the OL, IMO. I'm expecting some big-time adjustments this week. The coaching staff needs to earn their money NOW before we kill all our QBs and have to start recruiting new ones off the street.
Re: Will Fuller
Apparently Fuller's back. He's "in a better mind space now" after "recharging" which makes it look like he just didn't feel like playing last week and left his job for the hell of it, because that's what millennials are allowed to do these days.

We have no idea what happened in his life and probably never will. Could have been a family issue, could have been a mental health issue...no reason to assume he just didn't want to play.

Except for the fact that it's become a trend for millennials to just quit jobs because working's just too inconvenient for them, and then say it's because of "mental health". If Fuller's mom did die, obituaries/funeral announcements are public record and easy enough to look up. Players randomly quitting in mid-season or even mid-game (Vontae Davis) is going to be yet another one of those 'new normals" people will pretend to be fine with, right up until they're directly affected by it.
And since when does modern media all of a sudden care about anybody's privacy? These are the same people who keep insisting the Fins want Watson!
It's obvious to me Fuller left because he just didn't feel like being a player last week, and we're all just supposed to accept it because the media says so. He'll probably retire at halftime, wouldn't surprise me in the least.

your close. after not participating in all of training camp, Fuller practiced once last Wednesday as was a apparently a bit rusty (and not as versed in the playbook/gameplan as he should be). he was informed that he would not start and was at risk of potentially being inactive due to the fact that Miami had 7 WRs on the roster, he did not play ST, and the Dolphins wanted 4 TEs (Cethan Carter being the 4th) active due to protection issues and the reliance on 2 blocking TE sets - that's how they started the game. Fuller apparently did not react to the news very well and threw a hissy fit.

Do I know or do I know? Fuller needs to be called out for leading everyone to think he really did have a family emergency/death. He won't, but he should. Hell, he won't even be called out for throwing this hissyfit. If anything the media will label his behavior as "stunning and brave"
Getting paid to do a job? Nah, I'm good. Just give me the money, the job part's just too darn taxing for my mental health...
I say cut this bum. He's only on a one-year deal anyway so this should be doable.

Is this speculation on your part, or is has it been reported? Not doubting you, but I haven't heard this anywhere else.

this all stems from Fuller posting some bizarre rants in the middle of the night on his Instagram and then quickly shutting down his account shortly thereafter.
https://dolphinnation.com/2021/09/18/will-fuller-appears-to-deactivate-instagram-account-amidst-unknown-personal-issue/
i'm trying to find the screen grabs. people found it very odd that he would shut it down completely (as opposed to just delete the offending post) considering his rather large past social media presence. he was very upset and may have removed all references to the Dolphins (hence having to shut down the whole account). apparently he has a history of using his instagram to rant...

Re: Will Fuller
Ah yes, the old "whine on social media and then when enough people notice my public display of absurd behavior I'll delete everything like a coward" routine. Yup, nothing to see here!
More proof that it was never any real crisis or emergency.
I repeat, cut him. He's literally being paid to do nothing. Hand me his salary and I'll stay at home for "mental health" reasons and never suit up, too.

Re: Will Fuller
the Houston Chronicle also noted the Instagram deletion in their article.
https://www.chron.com/sports/texans/article/Texans-Dolphins-Will-Fuller-sit-out-personal-issue-16467229.php
funny how the Herald missed that bit, but the Chronicle apparently realized it was relevant to the story.
parsing Flores' words a bit...
a death in the family doesn't require multiple conversations from your coach (you express support and let him do what he needs to do...an explanation as to why you are not playing might.
if Flores knew it was a death or other family tragedy, describing it as a "surprise" in that way would be kind of callous. finding out your not starting when you thought you were and throwing a fit...well, now that would be a "surprise"!
