Miami Dolphins and RB Chase Edmonds reached agreement on a two-year, $12.6 million deal that includes $6.1 million guaranteed, per his agent @DrewJRosenhaus. The former Cardinals’ running back is headed to Miami.

I like it - good speed and an excellent receiver.

I see People Like the Player but not the Money. I'm fine with both.

I'm a big Edmonds fan. I think he can excel in this offense.

6 million per year is fine, no issues with the money. Also love the short-term deal no sense signing backs to anything longer than that.

Interesting to me. Never thought that Edmonds would have been on the radar.

I didn't see it coming either. I always prefer bigger RBs, but Edmonds is a 3-tool RB - he can run, catch and block. He won't be the only back we add, but he will be a key piece of this offense.

Supposedly McDaniel loves speed in his RBs. Well, this is probably a big reason they signed Edmonds:

According to Next Gen Stats, Edmonds hit 15+ miles per hour on 23.3% of his carries this season. That was #1 in the NFL for RBs with at least 100 carries.

I was a bit flabbergasted at the money Edmonds got, but after looking at it and reading that article JMP linked...

I now see the light I am thinking.  I had already dropped all my hopes of Grier going for a big time RB early in the draft, so...

Duke Riley... ehh... Maybe he will show us something.   Besides his name, which I agree with DF316... is cool.

I can never hear "Duke" without thinking of "Duke of New York"...
