Re: Melvin Ingram signed
You can never have enough pass rushers.
I guess Goode will be relegated to special teams... if he makes the roster at all.

He doesn't get a ton of sacks anymore, but he does get to the QB. He's another disruptive pass rusher to add to the rotation. A potentially great signing IMO.
Re: Melvin Ingram signed
Chiefs fans seem to be upset about Ingram not signing with them so that's a good sign, right?
According to his FR page Ingram only had 2 sacks last season, and 1.5 of those came against the Raiders. This after zero sacks in 2020. And he started 7 games both years.

Hell, if Goode's as good as some people think he is, he could surely get 2 sacks this season, right?

Re: Melvin Ingram signed
Supposedly Ingram averaged 1 QB pressure for every 9 plays last season. That's pretty impressive. Pressures don't always amount to anything positive for the defense, but every little bit helps.
Re: Melvin Ingram signed
This is worth a shot, but I am almost to the point of saying this is another one of Grier's (in)famous free agent signings that turn out to be crapola.
Worth a shot, but I am not expecting much.

The good news is, barring injury, Ingram will be a rotational player. He's not being asked to be a full-time starter. So, he should stay fresh and I think the coaches will pick and choose how they use him. I don't see hi putting up big stats, but when he's on the field, teams have to pay attention to him, so that should open up some opportunities for other players around him.
