Take the W. Sloppy game and for once we got many NO CALLS. Tua good enough for the W but still needs to step up his game.
Craziest ending in Steelers vs Bengals. Gesicki was the part of the heart and soul this team but not sure now.

At this point Iggy's presence on the roster is a joke that stopped being funny long ago. Why is he still here? Why can't the Fins use his roster spot for someone--anyone else? What's the point?

I read that even Kader Kohou was making plays out there. Surely when Jones gets back Iggy will finally get cut, right?

I already know most here will be severely disappointed and treat this win as a loss. It's the opener. And they played significantly better VS the Pats this time than a year ago, when the Pats flat out gave the game away.

The running game does worry me. Unlike you guys, I just never had the confidence it would be this unstoppable juggernaut. One 500-yard rusher might not happen this season, let alone three. Am I supposed to believe Duke Johnson would've been any worse? I am once again calling for him to be brought back if he hasn't been signed by another team already.

I did not expect the D to play nearly as well as it did but instead this looks like a Flores win from last season. And that's fine, for now. Maybe we need to just be happy with wins instead of acting like this team's coming off 5 straight Super Bowl wins and should be blowing opponents out by 30 every week.

Solid win. Big plays on defense were the biggest difference but you can see the potential on offense IMO. Hill looking like he's worth every penny.

Kohou did more in this one game than we've seen from Iggy in 2+ years.

Running game still sucks, but it's early.

We barely won the opener last year by the skin of our teeth. This year we jumped on them early and were never in trouble. I see progress. It's a good win to open.

Next week is going to be tough. I expect the Ravens, with a healthy Jackson, to win their division and contend for the AFC title.

This was a victory. Not the type of victory I hoped for. All these new offensive weapons and we were just hohum on offense. Waddle with the one big TD.

I wrote about this earlier in another thread - I agree it was not that good but I am encouraged. Mostert reeled off a couple nice runs that really showcased his speed and vision. I do not believe for one second that McDaniel will allow his running game to falter all year. It is a matter of time - it will improve and become the foundation of this offense.

He will continue to tinker, scheme and build off what they do well while avoiding the plays that haven't worked. Plus, I read that he schemes new plays all year to build off tendencies and throw opponents off. It's going to happen, just wait.
