FUCK YEAH!!! My favorite player ever, along with Dan the Man. It's disgraceful that Zach wasn't in sooner, but at least he made it.

I've told the story many times before, but the first time I ever became aware of Zach Thomas's existence was when he scooped and scored what turned out to be the winning TD in a game against Texas A&M that I watched all alone in my frat house, and that somehow made such a good impression on me that I was thrilled when JJ drafted him (with the 3rd 5th round pick he had) and then the next thing I know he's beating out Jack Del Rio for the starting MLB spot and I'm like, "Damn, I thought he'd be good but not THAT good!" and things just went from there

It is official isn't it? They can't take it back now, can they?

I'm actually shocked that he got in. The media has all but ignored him and the Hall committee clearly has an anti-Phins bias, so I thought he had no shot.

I'd love to go to the ceremony, but unfortunately it's right at the end of my busiest 2-week work period.

I figured he would get in eventually... Just the way OCs who faced him talked about having to GAMELAN for stopping him disrupting their offenses mention him was resume enough.

I once heard Charlie Weiss say that if you didn't gameplan for Zach Thomas he would totally disrupt everything you were trying to do on offense.

I was just as shocked as everyone else when ZT beat out Del Rio.


The Phins could desperately use a LB/DE/DT/CB heck anyone to be the identity of the defense. That was hard to do in the defensive scheme from the Pats where "Do YOUR JOB!" was the mantra, but a playmaker is what the Phins need IMO.

Every report I've seen goes out if its way to mention all the other inductees by name in the headline EXCEPT Zach. It's as if the media is throwing a very quiet, passive-aggressive hissyfit.

A bit scripted (background music? Really?) but I liked it nonetheless.

Very Happy for Zach that He Made it, My Sister Lives in Canton might be Time for a Visit. at Less Kuch get's in by the Vet's Committee this will be our Last HOF for a Long Time.

I've watched that video with with Jimmy delivering the news to Zach about 10 times now, and I have to admit my eyes have watered every single time. So happy for Zach that he can finally he can take his rightful place among the all-time greats.

And that letter from McDaniel to the 'fan of the year' is awesome! How cool!
