I seem to recall Zach saying he fell off a tractor once and it ran over his head.

You go on to become an NFL HOFer after that.... that is impressive!

One of the toughest players I ever saw. He did more with less than almost any player I can think of...too small, too short, too slow - but all he did was make plays and kick ass.

So maybe the tractor incident helped him in a weird way? After all, after you've been run over by a damn tractor, what's an offensive lineman going to do to you??

I love that Zach is getting in. Loved watching him play. Just hate that JJ is inducting him.

I mean yeah, everyone here knows how I feel about that slimy, sleazy snake oil salesman but realistically, who else would be Zach's presenter? Would you rather have it be Wanny? As much as I hate to admit it, JJ makes perfect sense here since he's the one who gave Zach a chance that no other NFL team likely would have and Zach knows it.

Absolutely, 316. Zach might not have had an NFL career at all without JJ, and I think they have a very close relationship too.

I guess Zach could have asked Jason Taylor to be the one?

Wasn't JT married to Zach's sister? And now they are divorced, so maybe there is bad blood there.

I got no problem with JJ.

But just like Jerry has to admit, the Cowboys ain't the same without Jimmy, Jimmy needs to admit, he wasn't so hot without Jimmy IMO.

i was hoping he could be presented by Jack Del Rio. Jack could get up there and say, "Let me just get out of the way..." and then Zach would take his spot at the microphone.

yes, JJ is the right choice. the only other person that came remotely as close to helping Zach's career was Tim Bowens - by keeping OLmen occupied while ZT shot the gaps and did his thing.

Today is the day. Can't wait to watch. Tons of Zach and Marino highlights this weekend.

Yeah, Zach's induction was awesome. I was crying like a baby during his speech...so many amazing memories. Zach was the best.

I still can't believe I liked the Zach pick and thought he'd be good based off ONE game I saw him play--that I only watched out of sheer boredom!

And then when I heard he beat out Del Rio, who I was genuinely excited about the Fins signing I'm like DAMN, this Zach Thomas guy was even better than I thought! I should've known then and there he was a Hall Of Famer.

Yeah, as a rookie Zach basically stepped on the field and just took control.  It's rare to see such an unheralded player become an instant star like that.
