Zach is a finalist again for HOF

I think this is Zach Thomas' year.
Glad to see Cliff Branch and Dick Vermeil getting considered.

I dont know why Patrick Willis is in there. When you look at the whole body of work, Zach Thomas is far and away a better LB and for a lot longer. If Willis makes it "BEFORE" Thomas I will literally give up on who goes in

If Zach doesn't get in this time, it will CLEARLY be because the media wants to punish the Fins for not trading for Watson like they were "supposed" to. Yes, I'm serious. It's absolute bullshit that he's not in already.

Re: Zach is a finalist again for HOF
And once again, Zach doesn't get in. But somehow, LeRoy Butler and Richard Seymour get inducted. And a lesser LB - Sam Mills - also gets in. It's disgraceful.
I believe only 3 players in NFL history have:
5 All Pro selections
1700 tackles
20 INTs
15 forced fumbles
Two of them are Derrick Brooks and Ray Lewis, who are in the Hall of Fame. The other is Zach Thomas, who is not in the Hall of Fame. What a bunch of crap.
This tweet says it all:
Edited post to include Brooks...

Re: Zach is a finalist again for HOF
At this point I'm assuming Zach never gets in because he's too white and not "woke" enough. Seriously.
If I hadn't figured out what a joke HOF voting is 15 years ago I'd *really* be mad...

Re: Zach is a finalist again for HOF
There are six players from the '96 draft with an Approximate Value of 95 or more. Zach is the only one *not* in the HOF.
https://stathead.com/football/draft_finder.cgi?request=1&order_by_asc=0&order_by=career_av&draft_year_min=1996&draft_year_max=1996&pick_type=overall&conference=any&show=all
On PFR's HOF meter for ILBs, Zach is the highest ranked eligible player not in (Kuechly isn't eligible yet) and his score is higher than the average HOF ILB.

I don't think I'm being a homer by saying Zach is currently the biggest HOF snub.

Re: Zach is a finalist again for HOF
Zach is the biggest snub of the modern era, that's for sure.
Lots of snubs from the old days I can think of, i.e. Jimmy Patton (died young, like Mills, tragic accident), Eddie Meador (still with us AFAIK at 84), Jim Tyrer (only reason he isn't in is the murder-suicide which may have been caused by head trauma with what we know now), Ernie Ladd (short career, and probably better known for his wrestling career, but still, look it up, he was dominant) among others.
Zach has to be in soon. Too many voices noting the snub.
Vermeil getting in I'm happy about. He was to the NFL what Schnellenberger was to college, an amazing program builder. It's too bad we didn't offer a draft pick to get him when Jimmy retired. Hell, keeping Wanny away would have been worth at least a first rounder.
