I heard this the other day. The big knock on Tua is his inability to beat a team with a winning record. It's been 395 days since he did. Is Sunday the day?

Wow! And Hurts is 8-0 versus teams with winning records!!

I'm not surprised and as we all know football is a team sport.

Are we beating Buffalo while the defense is giving up 42 points and never forcing a punt? No!

Are we beating a winning team with the Boyer defense getting pushed all over the field and nothing in his toolbox but the zero blitz? No!

Are we beating a winning team with "talents" like DeVante Parker and Preston Williams the top 2 receivers on the team, and receiver-turned-TE as our starter? How about an offensive line that can't run block and gives up sacks at a record pace?

Of course those teams can't beat a winner. That's not on Tua, but yes he's part of those teams.

THIS TEAM should be able to beat other good teams. I don't know if it will be this weekend but it could be, or it could be further down the line when Ramsey is back, Phillips is at full strength, and Connor Williams is back at center.

In any case, classic straw man argument that "Tua can't beat winning teams". No, the DOLPHINS with Tua at QB haven't beaten winning teams.

Furthermore, that stat is VERY misleading and ultimately meaningless.

Context is everything. From October 23, 2022 till today, in games Tua has started the Dolphins have only played 4 teams with winning records (at the time of the game) by my count. That includes 2 games against the Bills. In those 4 games, all losses, Tua had 6 TDs and 3 INTs. And in the 2 Bills losses, his rating was 104 and 92.4 respectively.

Wait a minute here! Tua beat the Bills just last year...oh wait.
