I am a Dolphins fan

I am a Dolphins fan. Good, bad, or ugly this is my team!

So am I. All I'm thinking about is winning the division next week.

Yep. The Phins can still win the AFC East.

I Saw the point spread is Buffalo -3 and everyone will be on the Bills Bandwagon this week, Still waiting for TUA to go Off on a Prime Time Game and this would be a Good Time for it. We might be back to Full Strength Offensively this week. Been Watching and Rooting for this Team for 52 Years No need to Change Now.

What I'm hoping for is simple:

1) Make a statement by beating Buffalo at home and securing the # 2 seed.
2) Win a playoff game for the first time since 2000.

Anything beyond that is gravy to me. The missing pieces will make it difficult to go much further than that, though we will secure a home game in the second round if we can get there. We haven't hosted two playoff games since 1992.

Anyway, it all starts with a win Sunday night. No matter who is available. just win!

I'm hoping for all that too, but I know how this ends. I'm preparing for two more blowout losses - first to the Bills and then to the Chiefs. I'll be rooting like hell for wins, but I just don't see it. Even without the injuries, McD and Fangio get outcoached in every big spot. This team is just not ready to run with the big dogs.

I've been doing a lot of reflecting this week, and I keep coming back to Carson's quote at the top of this thread: "I am a Dolphins fan. Good, bad, or ugly this is my team!"

That's it - I'm all in. This is my team, this is who I am, this is what I do. The odds are against us in every way Saturday, but this is the playoffs - a new season, and anything can happen. Even with all the disappointment, this is the best Dolphins team in AGES and we are still alive.

Well, I saw the Rangers accomplish it after years of heartbreak last year, with every pitcher they thought they could count on either out for the season or badly limited going into the playoffs, and with the closer position changed multiple times throughout the season and going in with no home field advantage at all after blowing that on the final day of the season.  

That said, Bruce Bochy kinda did have a track record of winning it all going into that, so....the parallels are not perfect.....
