His grade is a 64 which is a Late 3rd rd pick, But when don’t have a 3rd rd Pick he comes off the board early, Love the Size and the Fact Armstead will mentor Him for a Year to get him up to speed. Think Grier is just going to take his 6 picks and go Home without touching next year’s pick which I agree with.

This draft is about need now and in the future. The end of the season we lacked depth. To start this season we might be in the same boat. Injuries to the defense. Lost players on both lines. Trenches are an issue. If we draft a corner then Cam Smith will be another Grier bust.

Watched a couple of Patrick Paul interviews. Very well-spoken and intelligent - refreshing to see in a modern-day athlete. He's going to be an easy kid to root for once the initial hatred dies down.

With all the free agent action this offseason, the Phins actually have tons of depth at DL and OL. Center, safety and pass rush (even with Chop) are really the only positions that need more depth.
If we were to draft a corner on day 3, that wouldn't say anything at all about Cam Smith. I'm actually excited to see how Smith develops. He showed some good things last preseason IMO.

Michigan players went at 83, 84 and 85! Rich Eisen can't contain himself! LOL

I wish we had been able to obtain more picks, but I am good with Patrick Paul. I think he was a bit underrated in this OT class. I like him at 55 more than I would have liked Guyton or Mims earlier. He's good value there and should succeed Armstead in 2025. Can't say the production isn't there when he's started every game three years in a row with high pass blocking grades. The run blocking is a bit of a concern. For sure we needed badly to address OT and outside of getting Foster tomorrow he's the best value pick at the position today IMO.

Troy Franklin still available at the top of round 4. Wow. I'd be OK with a trade up for sure.
