Those Were The Days...
Here's the final play of the Fins' last meaningful win.
(Sighs.)
Found this only because it happens to be the only offensive snap D'Brickashaw Ferguson missed in his career believe it or not.

Unusually tense for a gimmick play, I can remember gritting my teeth it went on WAY too long...

Yes, but the one I always remember is Dave Dumbstedt having to bring the team out of the locker room in New England for the final two seconds!!!
Anyone else disgusted by how easily the Jets replaced Ferguson?
Sickening.
Even if Geno is the QB this year, I expect the Jets to stomp the Phins again.

That was my initial thought as well. The follow on media coverage was very critical of the Jets. Apparently, Clady has suffered some recent injuries and his play level is also declining, while he remains an expensive player.
One article I read offered they could have had him for free, as he was a likely cut later in the league year.
Perhaps they didn't quite pull of the coups we all initially thought...

I think it's a great deal for the Jets. They traded a 5th, and got a starting LT and a 7th. And the re-worked contract is a one-year deal for $6 million, with a team option in 2017. Clady's coming off an injury, but when healthy he's pretty damn good. For a team that has legitimate playoff hopes, I think it was the best they could do given the timing of Ferguson's retirement.
To put it in perspective, Branden Albert's base salary this year will be $8.425 million...

I totally remember that play! Huge win for the Phins...who knows when we'll see another one...

I was at a bar full of Jets fans that day. IMO, Miami could be that same team if they just find the right front office.
