the Dolphins traded back into the draft (No. 86 overall) and selected wide receiver Leonte Carroo of Rutgers. I really like this pick. The Dolphins gave up their sixth round pick this year (186th) and a third and a fourth round pick in 2017.

Ugh. That's a VERY high price for a possession receiver with off-the-field issues. Now we know why Tannenbaum wanted those compensatory picks next season. I absolutely HATE this pick. Rolling Eyes

Well, at least JEG will be happy that the Phins have a Rutgers player...

Good Lord, this is terrible. Just today we gave away a third, two fourths and a sixth.

Not much on the player either. Third round left a lot to be desired IMO.

I honestly feel smarter for not having followed this train wreck of a draft live.

In fact I won't even bother to wait, I'll just go ahead and give this turkey an F right now. The sad part is, I would have given it a D until I found out how many picks Tannenbaum traded away.

I was Ok with the gamble on Tunsil at 13, but since then it's been Wannyesque giving draft picks away like Halloween candy. For a team desperately needing to add young talent to develop, this isn't going to cut it.

I was reading Tannenbaum believes that 3rd day draft picks aren't much different than unrestricted FA. He targets first three rounds and wants four picks in those rounds.

I can't remember which draft analyst said it but they remarked that starting in the third round the players all have grades very similar. It's no surprise to see a player expected to be a third round pick go in the fifth round. This falls online with Tannenbaum's thoughts
