It won't be empty. Just full of Raider fans who have now suddenly decided to attend the game.
True. This game quickly went from a possible Dolphins win to a likely Raiders win.
And - I just saw that Rey Maualuga posted a tweet a few minutes ago - with no text...just an angry face. Obviously it's speculation, but I have a pretty good idea of what he's angry about. Think he's the only one?

There would be a ton of faidahs fans there anyway. They always travel well, wherever they play.

Unbelievable. Hope this means they are tanking and grabbing picks to draft a QB in April. Only move that can justify this stupidity.

This is Philbin all over again, with a few minor differences.
Next coach needs to be a defensive-minded chairman of the board. I'm done with these assistant "gurus" who make their marks coaching much better players and somehow everyone believing it's their systems that made them great.

BTW the Panthers just got a 3rd and 7th for Kelvin Benjamin. Who has 32 catches and 2 TDs this season.
maybe that's because they actually know not to tell the whole world that Player X sucks and they want to get rid of him less than a week before the trade deadline.

So Adrian Peterson at age 32 brings a 6th round pick after missing a full season.
Benjamin nets a 3rd and a 7th (while under a first round rookie contract).
And Ajayi, a season after rushing for 1,272 yards and still playing for another year and a half under a fifth round rookie contract? Brings what will almost certainly be one of the last picks of the FOURTH round in 2018. It will likely be about the 133rd pick with the Eagles likely to win double digit games once compensatory picks are figured in.
Just a shit job by our front office all the way around. Drive his value down by shit talking him, make it clear we're desperate to be rid of him, and get next to nothing.
A 24 year old RB coming off a Pro Bowl caliber season. No way he shouldn't bring a second rounder from the Eagles when you consider that the pick will be towards the back of the round and the Eagles are in "go for it" mode.
Seriously, when this team does hit on a great value, from O-Gun, to Marshall, to Vontae Davis, to Vernon, and so on....they always manage to give that value away for pennies on the dollar or watch the guy walk for nothing.
It's one thing if we parlay Ajayi into multiple picks, or a high pick, but this was essentially giving a Pro Bowl talent away for nothing. Shit, even Bumstedt got more than this for O-gun! (A 3rd and Booker)
Makes no sense, unless he is damaged goods physically (does have some knee issues, but nothing that he hasn't always had since college). If you can't get more than this, then hold onto the guy til the season is over. You can get at least this after the season.

Can't blame the front orifice for that. That was all Gase. Apparently he was infected by the Hissyfit Disease the players these days have.
Meanwhile you had no idea the Panthers even wanted to trade Benjamin, didja?

Winners usually have strong personalities.
Can we hire back Dan Campbell yet
EDIT - Yeah, let me go ahead and explain what I meant by the first sentence.
If a coach can't handle guys that have strong personalities and want to get rid of them, then there's little chance they're going to be able to win at all. Even the great Bill Belchingchicken has been able to navigate star players as such. You don't jettison talent in a trade for a bag of old crusty dicks.

What's Campbell even doing these days? I honestly have no idea.
But hey, he did get this team to play like the '72 Fins for a whole 6 quarters before they quit on him too so there's that.

Can we get a better front office first. I mean there is no way that Miami is going to be great or even close to going to the superbowl better yet the playoffs if they are crappy

He's assistant head coach/TE coach for the Saints.

Excellent post, Hal.
And while we're speaking of value, just remember that not too long ago we traded a 5th for a LB that hasn't even been activated for a game yet. Yep, in Tannenbaum's world Stephone Anthony and Jay Ajayi have essentially the same value.

The only way this seems viable is Drake or Williams averages 5 Ypc. It seems as if Gase wants to build around his man crush Cutler.

This is Miami downfall right here. I really hope that Cutler just gives up and say I not coming back. I think that would hurt Gase feeling like breaking up with your girlfriend on her birthday, then determine to get payback by drafting great players around Tannehill and Make Miami Dolphins Great Again....

so when Gase had it his way, his team was 1-4, but then when he listens and calls plays that utilize the talent properly - well, the results speak for themselves.
whatever the Phins are doing (and Gase is calling) isn't working. so just like last year, is maybe Ajayi right? so is this trade more about improving the Dolphins or is it more about a coach who wants it his way and his way only and is unwillingly to tailor his scheme to the talent he has (had) on hand?
But remember: Last October, Ajayi was a do-nothing back when he entered Gase’s office amid a 1-4 start and listed three running plays that he guaranteed results from if the coach called them.
Ajayi had been suspended by Gase for immaturity ahead of last year’s opener after not being name the starter. He had a minor role to that point. But Gase called those plays. Results came immediately.
Ajayi went from being a problem child inside the team to becoming the face of the franchise. He was the Dolphins’ identity. He averaged 4.9 yards a carry in 2016. He ran for more yards after contact than any NFL back.
so when Gase had it his way, his team was 1-4, but then when he listens and calls plays that utilize the talent properly - well, the results speak for themselves.
But also leaking out in the aftermath of the trade was an attitude from Ajayi that wasn’t helping. He wanted to run outside — not inside. He wanted home runs on every run, not four yards to help move the chains.

Gase definitely comes across as a stubborn "my way or the highway" type, and he clearly isn't interested in changing his beliefs. Like you said, whatever plays Gase is calling, nothing seems to be working - and he apparently has no answers other than dumping arguably his best offensive player.
All I know is, we now have three RBs that weren't good enough to be full-time starters in college, and who haven't shown anything in the NFL. I guess we have to hope that Perry becomes a stud RB despite the fact that he's done nothing yet, because I don't think we're going to get much from Williams and especially Drake.
One other note...Ajayi was an excellent receiving back at Boise State, catching 73 passes for over 10.5 yards a catch in his 3 years there. In fact, when he was drafted I remember posting something about how I thought he could be a dangerous receiving weapon but I didn't know what we'd get from him on the ground...and it turned out to be the opposite. I have no idea why he all of a sudden became a bad receiver with the Phins.
