I read something about that just recently. Something to the effect of "Gase will get his time, Tannenbaum will be first one at risk". Kind of like the Brows bringing in Dorsey while retaining Hue Jackson.

This would be the perfect half-measure that Ross prefers. Even better would be if both Gase AND Grier stay, and Tannenbaum goes.

If there's one thing this team has perfected, it's clawing out 6 or 7 wins to ENSURE our first round pick is totally irrelevant. We are ALWAYS just a few slots away from the real, blue-chip prospects - every year.

We surely won't make the playoffs, but you can take at least 6 wins to the bank.

I don't think that'll happen this time around. As Fred Smerlas once said, you can only cut your own throat so many times before you run out of blood. The Gase luck ran out midway through last season as far as getting fluky wins over bad teams, and it's not coming back. I say four wins max this year, with a 50/50 shot at 0-16.

Ross is all about loyalty I wouldn't be surprised if Ross keeps Gase if Miami went 1-15 next year.
