Armando Salguero

@ArmandoSalguero

Kenny Stills is returning to the Dolphins per a source as @RapSheet said.

@ArmandoSalguero

Kenny Stills returning to the Dolphins is a major victory for coach Adam Gase who has struck up a special relationship with the WR.

I'm guessing that the Phins just made Stills the highest paid #3 receiver in the NFL. IMO, this move says just as much about the Phins' belief in Carroo as it does their feelings about Stills.

Having Stills back is good, but IMO the money would have been better spent shoring up the OL. And when the time comes, the Phins better be prepared to pay Landry double whatever they're paying Stills.

Rumor is 4 years at $32 million, with $20 million guaranteed. $8 million a year is better than I expected, but that guaranteed money is VERY high. Landry's agent is drooling right now...

Schefter says 4 years $32 million with $8 million guaranteed. That would be a helluva lot better than $20 million!

I'm still hearing $20 million guaranteed, despite Schefter's report.

If it is indeed $20 million, I am going to make a bold prediction: the Dolphins are going to shop Parker during the draft. If they can trade him, Stills becomes the #2 and Carroo moves up to #3.

I'm thinking that the Phins expect more production from Stills if they're going to give him that much money, and Parker has been a disappointment. Add in all the draft picks they gave up for Carroo, and I think a Parker trade makes sense.

As far as value, I think we can get a 3rd or 4th for Parker...not much more than that IMO.

I'm very pleased with this move. Maybe $2million per year higher than I had hoped for weeks ago.

I agree that Parker is on the ropes, this move is a clear indicator that this front office and coaching staff is not sold on him being the long term answer opposite Landry.

Once again, we retain our own talent instead of shopping on the open market for someone else's castoffs.

By the way, I cannot believe the numbers I'm hearing for Desean Jackson. Is he really that good anymore?

Yep, insane numbers. But yeah, he's still a very good, borderline-great receiver IMO. Playmaker.

that was my very first thought when i heard about the Stills contract. i think Landry and Stills are envisioned as the primary starting 1 & 2 WRs. I see Parker battling Caroo for that 3rd spot and barring a significant turnaround (or trade offer), Parker may find himself gone after his rookie contract is up.

Jackson is also a major punt-returning threat if they choose to use him that way. He can be a real game changer on the return team.

Parker can step up or fuck off. I'm not playing favorites anymore.

Look what I just found on Bleacher Report.

As we suspected, Parker's stock is not what I would describe as "on the rise". Dammit I wish we could stop drafting busts in round one. But, the only thing worse is realizing you missed on a player yet you keep counting on him to play a critical role for the team.

I believe this could be reversed, but he will have to play lights-out in 2017. Not in just one game, in many games.

Re-signing wide receiver Kenny Stills became a priority once the team lost faith in DeVante Parker late this season, according to a coaching staff source. Stills will be counted on to remain the team's No. 2 target with Jarvis Landry and Julius Thomas seeing a large share of targets, too.

Very interesting. Maybe my idea of trading Parker isn't so far-fetched...
