Jarvis Landry suspension looming
If you haven't read his prediction yet, here it is: http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/dave-hyde-blog/fl-sp-hyde5-jarvis-predicts-20170412-story.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+DaveHyde-blog+%28Dave+Hyde+%7C+Sun+Sentinel+blogs%29
This leads me to believe he is going to fail NFL substance abuse testing!

These guys never learn. Just STFU and let your performance do the talking.
Personally, I don't see any way this Dolphin D can hold the Pats to under 30 points. I'll be shocked if the Phins win even one of those games...no way they're winning both.
Re: Jarvis Landry suspension looming
Landry is just too much....There's something to be said about his passion, but he is right on the brink of stupidity if he hasn't already reached there. No surprise that he twin brother OBJ is the same way.
Landry has one zero playoff games and the Pats have one 6 Superbowls with Brady. Not to mention he plays offense and has nothing to do with how much they score.
I would trade this fool and not think twice. Doesn't he lead the team in unsportsmanlike penalties? Doesn't he seem to be flagged at the most crucial points in games? Production aside, coaches need to reel this guy in before he really puts his foot is his ass.
I am all about confidence in your team. But you don't speak about other teams. AT ALL, GOOD or BAD!!!!!
As if the Pats need anymore motivation

Re: Jarvis Landry suspension looming
Spot on, Umix. I'm not ready to trade him, but IMHO the money he's about to get does not equal his production. He's a possession receiver that catches a million short passes and hardly ever scores. He gets more penalties than TDs. I like him as a player, but he just might be the most overrated Dolphin ever if you look at the way fans drool over him.
Nothing wrong with being confident, but there's no reason to publicly say stupid shit that makes you look foolish.

I'm all for confidence and attitude...it's stupidity I can't deal with. Why even mention the Patriots at all? Just makes him look like an ass. Typical Dolphins - always trying to win the offseason, and then shit the bed when the games count.

I agree Bird, but the Attitude needs to reflect production. We went 10-6 and wet the bed against some serious comp and shit the bed against real contenders.
The attitude of "Gator ain't nobody's Bitch" has one caveat......You actually can't be a bitch. 21-10 against Brady in the Brady era tell's me we something different
Landry can't confuse progress with certainty. We need to keep building this roster to put us in the right positions to win games. And not getting 15 yarders for unsportsmanlike.

I actually agree with Bird for once. Does anybody really think the Pats need anything a Fins player says as motivation? If they do then THEY'RE the ones in trouble. It's not like they haven't lost to the Fins in Miami before. Three straight times actually.
I'm just sick and tired of everybody bowing and kowtowing to them like they're a team of supermen who are predestined to win the SB every season. It's sickening, disgusting, and downright nauseating As far as I'm concerned anybody who stands up to them is a damn hero.

Football however you wanna look at is a physically tough game.Mentally you have to be even tougher. The good teams in every support have a solid connection between the two, so much that they create dynasties like the Patriots.
What I would hope for is that Miami isn't talking about what they would like to do in the regular season, but rather, actually defeat them and then talk about it.
The guy who talks and has no proof of anything except reaching the playoffs is a guy that's just talking shit!!!!

Show me, don't tell me. So sick of talk with this team.

I don't have a problem with it. If you can't bring yourself to say it, how can you do it?

Re: Jarvis Landry suspension looming
I say, keep that talk in the locker room. It just sounds stupid when your team got blown out by the Patriots in 4 of the last 5 games you played against them. And in those 5 games, Landry had a total of 1 TD and the Phins averaged less than 16 points a game.
So, yeah, to me this comes across as idiotic rather than confident. Again, show me don't tell me.

Re: Jarvis Landry suspension looming
yawn. its a non issue. Landry reportedly said something (an exact quote was not recorded) in front of a crowd at an NFL organized pep rally in London. his actually quotes from the interview are not problematic.

its april and a slow NFL news cycle after major FA and before the draft - the papers needed something, anything, to print.
but in general, i like Landry and his aggressive attitude. i kind of think the Phins would benefit from having more players like him. imagine if the defense had a young "i'll rip your f**ing head off" LB - what a difference that could make.
“If you’re a competitor, that’s the way you should feel, and I don’t mind saying it,” Landry told King. “It’s time for a change. I have all the respect in the world for the Patriots, and I respect Tom Brady tremendously. But they’re not our big brother anymore.”
“Coach [Adam] Gase. He’s flipped the switch with us. New England’s won the division 14 of the last 16 years, something like that? It’s ridiculous. It’s a problem. We cannot let that happen anymore. What I’ve seen is, when we play that game, sometimes we focus on the guys on the other side of the line instead of just focusing on us. And I want to be part of that change. I want to go into the games against New England expecting to win—that’s something we need to do.”

Landry wrote:they’re not our big brother anymore
He's right - the Dolphins aren't the Patriots' little brother. They're a pimple on the Patriots' ass...a little annoying, but nothing serious and it'll go away soon enough. The two teams aren't even on the same planet, and the Dolphins' smoke-and-mirrors 10-6 season doesn't change that.
Until the Phins show that they can convincingly beat the Patriots, all this talk is just like pissing in the wind. Does anyone think adding an aging Lawrence Timmons is enough to beat the Patriots? I don't...and that's the only significant addition the Phins have made on defense this offseason.
