Landry got a five-year, $75.5 million deal with $47 million guaranteed from the Browns, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. That makes Landry one of the highest-paid receivers in the NFL.

Landry’s $15.1 million per year ranks him fifth among NFL receivers according to Spotrac. The only receivers getting paid more per year than Landry are Antonio Brown, Mike Evans, DeAndre Hopkins and Sammy Watkins. The first three are among the best receivers in the NFL, and Watkins was overpaid because he’s 24, talented and receivers like that rarely hit unrestricted free agency.

Landry now makes more per season than A.J. Green and Julio Jones, among others.

Is Landry worth it?

It’s all relative, but the answer is probably not.

Just think, the Fins could've had him for only about 1 02 2 mil per year than what he was originally asking.

Oh well. If the Browns want to pay him that much for 10 yards per catch then whatever.

Probably didn't make sense for us financially.

Still doesn't change the fact we lost a great player.

These money comparisons to current players are all bullshit because when those players come up for contract they will get more than Landry. Good for him. I'd rather be in Cleveland than Miami too.

Think about that last sentence for a good long minute.

Even though they have failed Cleveland FO has been committed to winning. The Miami FO needs to be committed.
