Fins vs Lions Game Day

I want to say I can't believe it, but I do, the amount of hype that this whole "Brocktober" thing is getting, especially locally. The media is eating it up, and perpetuating it IMO.

This has matt moore written all over it. He would step in and pull out a game of maybe two, and the whole, "Well, maybe he could be the log-term guy" talk starts. And as quick as that started, he reverted back to being matt no moore than a backup again.

I see the same with Osweiller. He may get a win today against the Lions. He may play well. He may even play extremely well. But I do not see him suddenly turning into Mr. consistent-anything other than backup at best-material.

While I do like his confidence and fire, the same can be said about moore. His teammates loved him.

Whatever transpires these next few weeks, I see it becoming (as if it has not been for years) painfully clear that the QB of the future is not on the current roster. OK, Luke Falk MAY be a guy to look at. But, we need to draft the best prospect out there next year and let Falk, Brock and Fales and the rookie all compete and see where it shakes out.

Time to trade Tannehill for a fifth round pick. Throw in Parker for a seventh. Ride Brocktober for the rest of the season!

Calling Miami’s offense vanilla is an insult to vanilla!

Well, no rushing defense, no passing defense, and no rushing offense.  But other than those three aspects of the game, this team is swell.

If Wilson is out for any extended period of time, I guess you can add the passing offense to that list. And it would likely put an end to any trade talk on Parker. Too bad, since I think the Cowboys would end up biting on the third rounder.

I predict Frank Gore barely touches the ball in the second half. When he does it will be third and long and they’ll hand off.

This team was not ready to play from the getgo. They came out looking disinterested in blocking or tackling or play calling, for that matter. 7-17 at halftime. Can we get more vanilla on offense? Can’t tackle anyone. Doesn’t look good. Right now it is same old same old.

It’s ugly. Going to get worse. Big lead means Brocktober will have to pass. Going to be sack city

He's been okay, and Drake has caught fire, but our defense is completely outclassed today. Too bad, because the Bears are really trying to help us out.

With Wilson likely out Thursday I see 4-4 coming. Just like last year.

I'm officially claiming credit for starting it since I was the very first one to use that term and we all know Armando reads us and uses some of what we post.

Even *I* had moved on. The Fins might not complete another pass over 5 yards the rest of the season now. I'm serious.

The sad part is, Osweiler did the best he could but got absolutely NO help from ANYONE else.

I watched the game late on DVR so not sure when I'll get to post game thoughts...but it won't be pretty, I can tell you that.

Whew! I was afraid I'd walk into this thread and hear a lot of Osweiler defending because he had a high passer rating, which would have been hysterically hypocrical

What's really hysterical is that he's literally the last player at fault for this loss.

Also, this team has so many injuries now that even if he plays well despite having virtually no receivers now it won't matter.

Nope, if you want to blame someone for what's about to be another collapse from 4-2 to 5-6 wins on the season you'd best look elsewhere. Lord knows there's a plethora of other options.

QB wasn't great but he played well considering.

With Albert Wilson out I don't expect this bunch to win more than 1-2 more games. Won't be either QB's fault. As designed this offense is just way too dependent on YAC and we just lost that.

did anyone see any trust issues with the deep pass yesterday with Osweiler?
