Re: Tank for Tua
Yeah I really not liking Herbert either. He look good sometimes then other it like he not reading the defense. I think Fromm is gonna be a definite #2 when it comes to QB.

Re: Tank for Tua
The Dolphins and Redskins play at Hard Rock Stadium on Oct. 6.
According to ESPN’s Football Power Index, the Redskins are the league’s No. 31 team. The Dolphins are No. 32.
So in a perverse way, this might be the most important regular-season game in a decade for the Dolphins. For the Dolphins, it could be the difference between having Tua, and not having Tua.
In other words, it’s Tua Bowl I, with sequels potentially to come against the Jets and Bengals.
If the Dolphins win, their margin for error (or more accurately, success) all but vanishes when it comes to securing the No. 1 pick, which most agree should be the top priority from here on out.If the season ended after Sunday’s game (yes, we know it did not), the Dolphins would own the No. 1 pick, finishing “ahead” of the other two 0-4 teams — the Redskins and Broncos — by virtue of their strength of schedule.
Football Outsiders thinks they’ll end the year in the same spot. It projects the Dolphins will win 2.2 games, or half as many as the Redskins, Bengals and Broncos, who in this virtual reality would be fighting it out for the No. 2 pick.
But that’s assuming the Redskins win in two weeks. If they don’t, the Dolphins might not be able to afford another win the rest of the season and still end up with the No. 1 pick.
The good news for nervous fans: the Redskins are, at least on paper, substantially better than the Dolphins.

the game after the bye may be the most winnable game for Miami this year, but if Tua is the QB they want, they probably don't want to win this game.

Hard to imagine the Bengals finishing worse than the Phins, at least once AJ Green gets back. The Bengals look godawful right now, but they do have a helluva lot more talent than the Phins.
And while the Jets do suck, I think having Bell on the team at least gives them a fighting chance most weeks and will likely get them above the Dolphins when all is said and done.
Don't sleep on the Broncos, Cardinals or Falcons either...all brutally bad teams. The Falcons will not finsih worse than the Phins, but the Broncos and Cards may give them a fight.
Having said all that, the Redskins are CLEARLY the team Miami should be most worried about. That is a really, really, really bad team, with piss poor coaching. Rookie WR Terry McLaurin is their best player right now, and while he looks like a budding star, the rest of that team is awful. That week 6 matchup will be very interesting...I'd love to see the Phins win a game, and it certianly looks winnable, but a loss may serve the team much better in the long run.

agreed. lacking some sort of significant success, it was long ago assumed this would be Jay Gruden's final season (assuming he even makes it through the season) in Washington. local talk has rumors of Skins' owner Dan Snyder eyeing a total re-boot ala the Cardinals even if it means discarding this year's top pick Haskins (who apparently hasn't made much progress). Snyder is envious of the success of Sean McVay in LA who was Gruden's o-coordinator for 3 years prior to leaving for LA and wants to find the next new young "thing" on offense and allow him to build a "revolutionary" system around Tua (yep, just like the Cardinals).

Well, reports are coming out that Gruden could be fired at literally any minute. The Redskin Reboot is going to start very soon! So that means we will almost certainly be going against rookie QB Dwayne Haskins in week 6...which increases our chances of winning.
Re: Tank for Tua
Rumor they want first crack at Lincoln Riley.
He will want his own QB, so yes a Cards style reboot this is a real threat to Miami getting Tua
