I know it was a horrible pick when everybody else here is too stunned to even post about it.

This seems like a Flores pick instead of a Grier pick to me. Flores was clearly getting antsy that no defensive player had been selected yet and IMO the reason that pick took so long to make is because Flores and Grier were not on the same page. Grier wanted someone else and Flores bullied him into this random CB, I am convinced of this.

Well, something of a surprise, but not necessarily a big reach.  Not the direction I was expecting. Didn't have CB as the best value on the board at present, though, and have Jaylon Johnson rated higher.

While we're waiting 10 minutes to find out who the pick is, I feel I must point out that a Harvard professor has publicly proclaimed home schooling is "dangerous". They absolutely do not want parents to be directly overseeing their own kids' education.

I liked Igbinoghene in round 3, but round 1??? Wow. He's a slot corner...those guys are a dime a dozen and always available much later.

He's very physical and as athletic as it gets, but he clearly wasn't anywhere close to BPA there.

That said, he is a good player and fits what Flores wants in the secondary, but no reason to pick him at 30 when McKinney and Jones were available.

Agree, 316 - this pick has Flores written all over it. High character guy, superb athlete, very physical - that's a Flores DB. But at 30? It's a reach.

That should be the one token Flores pick of the draft, and the rest of the way he just needs to shut up and sit there. This draft had a clear direction right up until that garbage. Then again, Grier never should've traded down from 26 to begin with, there literally was no reason to.
