Miami isn't being that aggressive in free agency IMHO. I like the Mckinney deal a lot but OLB now becomes a priority with Van Noy out. Biegel was actually growing on me before he got hurt. If we could get Collins that would solidify our LB corp.

But WR and RB are still high on the list. If we continue to stay quiet, I think Miami goes all in on the draft and try to get multiple picks this year then next to get what they need.

Lawson is a decent player, but that contract is absurd. WTF!

Yeah, looking at these insane contracts for barely-decent players makes me think the Phins are playing it smart so far. That could change if they throw ridiculous money at Golladay, but right now I like the patient approach and I hope the draft is the focus.

With all this Golladay talk and the Dolphins never letting any real info out, I'm starting to think the real WR target is either Curtis Samuel or Juju. Pure speculation on my part, but I think the pieces fit.

Trying to overpay for lesser talent? Yep - they are trying and succeeding! LOL

Both are solid players for sure and will help the Jets...but the contracts don't match their histories.

Carl Lawson has started just 14 games in 4 seasons, and his highest sack total was in his rookie season in 2017.

Corey Davis is a #2/3 receiver at best.

The Lions cut DT Danny Shelton. I doubt he'd come to Miami to split playing time with Raekwon Davis, but damn, he'd be a great addition to the DL rotation.

I liked Reddick coming out of college, but he had a very disappointing career till his breakout 2020 season. He bombed as a safety and ILB but flourished for one season as a pass-rushing OLB. The question for Miami is, do they want a 6'1", 235 pound OLB? They can certainly move him around the formation, but that's really small for a LB in this scheme. I'm just not sure how he fits.

Dolphins are squarely in on C David Andrews. Always an excellent pass blocker, Andrews was very good in run game in 2020 per PFF.

Yep, he'd be a major improvement in pass pro. Really solid player. There's a few centers I like in the draft, but Andrews is a sure thing.

There's talk that the free agent WR market has dried up after the initial flurry and teams are no longer looking to spend huge money on the position. With that in mind:

If the WR market remains this deflated - some really good players not getting money they want - Dolphins have the option of signing 2 at below-market prices and using No. 3 pick on elite TE Pitts (in a no-trade-down scenario). Outside the box, but worth considering.

I doubt the Phins are looking for a center that will be 32 years old in July, but the Raiders are releasing Rodney Hudson in a surprise move. He's arguably the best pass blocking center in the NFL, and has been for years.

I'd be all over him if I were the Phins, but again - age is a factor.

Phins in the hunt for the Texans' other ILB - Tyrell Adams. Much smaller than the typical Dolphin LB at 6'2", 230, but in his one year as a starter he was a physical tackling machine. Showed decent pass rush and coverage ability, and is also good on specials. I have a feeling he'll end up with a team where he can compete to start, but he'd be a nice cheap depth signing for the Phins.

David Andrews update: the Patriots were negotiating with him the past two days, but he has decided to test free agency. Who knows for sure, but I bet the Phins will make a strong push for him.

29 next month, Obada made the NFL out of Nigeria and went on to post a career-high 5.5 sacks last season in Carolina. He entered 2020 with two sacks to his name. Obada has appeared in 42 games over the last three seasons and should latch on somewhere as a reserve.
