Ross, Watson, and the massage therapists
Ross came out today. Just like the massage therapists, he doesn't want to touch the D-eshaun.

Yep.
I don't blame Ross one bit. Even if you believe he's a huge upgrade over Tua (and that is very much TBD), why not wait until the offseason when presumably the legal questions are answered?
Further, if Grier and Flores are on the hot seat (and IMO it's simply impossible they are NOT on the hot seat, regardless of the claims coming out of Miami) - why would you let them make a huge, franchise-shaping decision? Ross may already envision firing one or both in January. You're going to let THEM trade away all those future assets, and make the call on Tua while he's still cheap?
It does not make sense to push for a trade. In fact, I would not be surprised if he rejects the proposal if asked for clearance. He can reject it and say he's not comfortable with the legal trouble and the character issues that are possible, but my thinking is he's already considering moving on from this front office. That's why he won't let them do it.

Even if Tua isn't the future he's still better than most NFL backups.

Goodness, what's Mike Florio to do now? This has to be the most disappointed he's been since it became obvious to everyone except him that Kaepernick wasn't going to play football again.
Seriously, the last two weeks have be excited about Tua. The INT's look bad, but those are the mistakes that will disappear with experience---and a better O-line/O-line coaching. And Hell, even Mahomes is putting some bad ones out there lately with O-line issues. Tua has the potential to be very good, maybe even top tier. Let's get him some help both on the field and one the sideline and see what he can do.

Florio lies so much, it's like he's applying for a job at CNN. Again, trying to type/speak/wish something into existence out of thin air is not how reality works. It sure is odd BTW how all the people yammering on about "science" are the ones who apparently also believe in this too.
IMO I have never seen a more ludicrous non-story in all my time following the NFL, let alone one that kept going for this long with absolutely no proof or even an iota of progress towards being true. This Watson trade is literally no closer to happening now than it was 4 months ago.
