Dolphins sign LT Terron Armstead!

YES!!!!! $15 million a year average is an excellent deal for Miami. I know all about the injury history, but the Dolphins have played it safe for too long - this is taking a chance on greatness. Armstead is an ideal fit for this offense, and he is going to transform the team from day one. Truly a big-time addition. Way to go, Grier and McDaniel!
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Dolphins have agreed to a five-year deal with former New Orleans Saints offensive tackle Terron Armstead after meeting with him early in the week. NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero added the deal is for $75 million plus incentives.

Looks like $43.37 million guaranteed, which isn't bad at all for a player ranked as the #1 free agent by many.

I could swear Armstead is yet another player I wanted this team to draft that they didn't. Better late than never I suppose.

Does anyone know how much cap space we have left?

With this signing the Fins have entirely rebuilt the left side of the line.
I could care less about injury history we have to start with a good starter and backup from there. We’ve always started with backups and that’s the wrong approach.
I love the move! More to come but it’s late and I’ve been drinking

He's injured all the time. Misses roughly a 1/3 of every season on average. Doesn't bode well for our future.

He played 14 and 15 games in 2019 and 2020. If we get 15 games out of him, then it's a non-issue. Offensive linemen get injured all the time - it is what it is. The real question is: do you want to build your OL with unproven rookies and/or career backup veterans, or with one of the top LTs in the game? If you want to improve, you have to take chances.

Some of the young linemen who haven't developed yet might with better coaching.
Might.
We needed proven veterans just in case, we got two. I can't believe PFF says our FA was below average, this looks like a very solid showing for what we needed after a week.
