Dolphins vs. Bears predictions + GAME THREAD

Another big game (they're all big at this point) coming up against an opponent we should beat.  But this game may be tougher than expected.

The Bears have an excellent pass defense, allowing just 188 passing yards per game to this point.  They have recorded 9 INTs, but just 13 sacks.  Their run defense is not good...allowing 156 yards per game.  With those numbers in mind, I'd like to see the Dolphins run early and often in an effort to soften the defense and open up the passing game.  Once we do that, playaction will lead to big plays.  Losing both Robert Quinn and Roquan Smith leaves the Bears' D with some big holes that I think we can exploit.  So while I don't expect an offensive explosion, I do think the Phins can put up some points.

When the Bears have the ball, containing Justin Fields is all that matters.  They have a weak passing game and Fields is prone to INTs and fumbles, but Fields can and will shred any defense on the ground if he's allowed to run wild.  David Montgomery is a decent runner, but nothing special, and their other back - Khalil Herbert - has home run ability.  So to me, stopping the run is the key to this game.

When all is said and done, I think we score a few TDs on offense and force a few turnovers on D.  I have the score at 27-13, Dolphins...but it could be much closer if Fields gets going.

*Every* game from here on out will be tougher than a lot of DolFans expect. The Lions and Steelers currently have 3 wins between them and the league's two worst point differentials, and they gave this team all they could handle. It baffles, befuddle and bewilders me that there are still DolFans out there who expect this team to suddenly start blowing everyone out every week.

Lamar Jackson is the only QB this season with more rushing yards than Fields. The same Lamar Jackson who busted out a 79 yard TD run against this team

I also think this will be the one game the Fins win relatively easily. I say 34-21. The Bears have lost too much talent and the Fins have gained too much lately for this to be a loss and besides, our old pal Cat (you know him as NYF) will be in attendance and the Fins always win when he shows up.

Chubb and the power element of adding Wilson to the running game add a huge element to this game for us. Thankfully!

If they can stop with the stupid penalties maybe the Offense scores early and often and forces Da'Bears to play catch up. Be nice to see the Phins D put some heat on Fields and force a few INTs.

The Phins SHOULD win, but on the road in the NFL... who knows?

I don't see an easy win. Lots of turnover on both rosters the past week, game is on the road.

I do think we will pull it out, similar to last week's win at Detroit, and that Tua outplaying his counterpart at crunch time will make the difference. 24-20 Dolphins.

That's the bottom line for me as well, I just can't see the 2022 version of Tua losing to a QB drafted out of Ohio St.

If Miaimi gets the run game going early I think the Bears will lose badly trying to defend the RPO without Roquan Smith

After a run for no gain, Phins don't call a timeout, take forever in the huddle, and then get flagged for too many men in the huddle.  What a disaster...terrible job by McDaniel getting the play in.

Horrendous end to the half...after the debacle I mentioned above, Mostert dropped a pass with tons of room to run and then Sanders missed a 29 yard FG. WTF. We're keeping this crappy team in the game!
