Otis Taylor dies at 80
Sad. Chiefs legend who has been battling Parkinson's for several years. He went to my wife's alma mater, native Texan, and should have been inducted into Canton while he was still with us. He had been diagnosed with Parkinson's dementia several decades back.
Taylor isn't *the* most glaring WR omission from his era, IMO Del Shofner is, but both passed away before induction; Taylor's lawsuit against the NFL due to his injuries may have been a factor in his lack of consideration over the years. R.I.P.
Lionel Taylor is also a strong candidate from the same era, IMO.

I didn't even realize Otis wasn't in the Hall of Fame. That's absurd!
RIP to Otis, and also to the legendary Bud Grant.

Bud Grant in the all time top 10 NFL coaches? He's a strong contender.
PVAMU has one Hall of Famer in Ken Houston, Taylor should have been the second by now, and Clem Daniels also had a great career (4 times All Pro). And one "what might have been" in Dave Webster who had them to a league title in 1958 as QB, was switched to DB in the NFL, All Pro at DB in his second season and sustained a career ending leg injury in 1962 after two awesome seasons for the Dallas Texans.
