The Commanders are reportedly going to cut LG Andrew Norwell. He'll be 32 in October, but still a good player IMO. I don't know if the Dolphins are truly looking to upgrade from Eich, but if they are he could be a stopgap for a year or two.

The NBA hasn't been worth a shyte since the Pistons got dethroned IMO.

As bad as the NFL is, the NBA is WORSE IMHO.

I'd just as soon not have a TV if that was all I had to watch.

I rarely watch NBA basketball, but I am keeping an eye on the Heat-Knicks series, hoping the Heat wins!

I don't know the Floyd contract details, but I did hear that the Bills freed up $5-6 million by extending Ed Oliver's contract. So I assume that's where the Floyd money is coming from.

Okay, that makes sense. A little. Even an extra $6 mil shouldn't really have been enough for a player the caliber of Floyd in today's market though.

Yet more proof that, just like everything else in today's world, the salary cap is an illusion that can be manipulated to whatever certain people want it to be. If the Bills *really* wanted to sign Cook, they could do so even if the currently had NEGATIVE cap space.

I was a hardcore "but...but...the salary cap!!!" whiner for a long time, but nowadays it is just so clear that the cap is endlessly flexible and really means nothing. Creating cap space just isn't a big deal anymore, and pushing money back is not a concern. The cap goes up every single year, and you just have to add extra years to any contract to spread out dead cap hits and make that dead money much more manageable.

The Saints were reportedly in cap hell entering the offseason, and they had no trouble signing the #1 free agent QB. It's all a game, and you just need a front office that knows how to play it. Fortunately, whatever else you want to say about Grier he is clearly masterful with cap manipulation.
