Fins Sign TE Jonnu Smith
Well reportedly “agreed to terms” per Sun Sentinel and other sources

Good signing imo. Reportedly a two year deal for $10 million max.
Last fins podcast I listened to someone guessed 5 per year they nailed it.

Sure hope they have a plan to get under the cap in...(checks the calendar)...six days
I guess this rules out Bowers. Now watch him fall to 21 for real just to twist the knife in deeper

The way FA is shaping up they’ll take interior online and edge rusher with first two picks.
Grier likes to sign bunch of low cost guys when he has to in order to fill roster without glaring holes.
However that’s my prediction. Top two picks C, G, or Edge

I really like the Smith signing, and we got him very cheap. And, he won't count toward the compensatory pick formula.
This move really opens things up for McD in terms of playcalling. Smith can line up anywhere, even in the backfield, and he can run every route.
The Phins also signed DT Daviyon Nixon. I remember him in the draft process a few years ago but he hasn't played much in the NFL. A cheap player who gets a chance to compete for a spot.

Nice Deal and he only get's 10 Million if all Incentives are met, This will easily be the Best Qb he has played with.

Yeah, this will be a good signing...unless McD continues to run the offense the same way he has for a couple of years now IMO; Focus on Waddle and Hill and exclude everybody else!!
But yeah Jonnu got some abilities Durham Smythe don't have, so...

If the Dolphins have the chance to draft Bowers, he'll be a Dolphin. No doubt in my mind. Acquiring Smith won't change that IMO.
