God damnit. I wanted to trade down and take a special teamer.

Well at least Hickeybaum tried to get a playmaker. Personally Parker's build makes me nervous but if he's healthy I think he's every bit the prospect AJ Green was. I'm a bit disappointed but I'm not Pouncey angry. So there's that.

They said he is a big WR with great hands that can go up and get the ball. Please hope that is what we got.

I'm ecstatic with the pick. Other than Amari Cooper, this was the guy I wanted.

And trading up to get a guy with drug issues.

Re: Dolphins pick?
Very happy with the pick. When we got to 14 and Parker and Gordon were both there, I would have been happy with either.
Now I am hoping my 2nd round pick is accurate, actually. We could use a safe, sure thing at OG to make sure we don't see Dallas Thomas anywhere near the lineup.

I officially love that post
Just as I figured, I fell right asleep and missed it due to the RIDICULOUS day I had, and just woke up. Looked at who picked who on espn.com and was shocked the Fins didn't trade up or down after all that speculation. Although I still say if the Bears hadn't taken Kevin White at #7 (seriously, the hell?!) they would have. That was apparently too rich even for Tannenbaum's blood
SO...on the surface this pick actually...doesn't suck I still have a feeling Perriman and/or Dorsett could be better simply because of the teams that picked them but still, getting an actual playmaker in the passing game is the best one could have hoped for and if people here are to be believed Kevin Johnson was not worth taking as high as 16. Although the Fins could have gotten an extra pick by trading down...
But yeah, glad they finally recognized what wins in the modern league and took Parker over Gordon.
How sad is it that I actually feel really weird for not being able to complain? I was so sure they'd do something mind-blowingly dumb because, well, you know.

I always figured Elway the GM would get exposed once Peyton retired/declined, but even I didn't think it would be THIS soon
Unless Pat Bowlen is senile now and overruled Elway or something.
Looking at the whole AFC West, that division will be sucking big-time this season. Maybe not to the degree the NFC South did last year, but closer than you think.

Re: Dolphins pick?
I'm mildly happy with the selection of DeVante Parker. It was a safe pick and I don't find it all that exciting, but given the way the draft went I think it was a smart pick and had to be done. Parker gives us a big receiver with good hands for the first time in forever, and with his excellent YAC ability I think he fits the system well. I do have concerns about his ability to get off the line and his route-running ability, and I'm not sure how soon he will be a starter. But, given the fact that Tannehill isn't the most accurate QB in the world, it's nice to have a big receiver that can win contested passes and has a big catch radius. He should also help in the red zone. So, yeah, good pick!

It feels strange today not to Bitch about them screwing up another 1st rd pick, I expect them to get back to Normal tonight and screw things up.

Well I just read that Ross told Armado Salguero that ""We're going to try some things" tonight...so I'm guessing they may be looking at some trades. Should be interesting...

Re: Dolphins pick?
When I made my 3/9 picks I didn't know Dawson was troubled off the field. I bump him back 2 rounds due to off field issues.

Re: Dolphins pick?
My next pick would be Eric Rowe since I don't think Miami will draft a character issue guy!

Re: Dolphins pick?
And the Fins trade down 5 spots w/Philly. No idea what they got in return since I'm just tracking things via espn.com in one tab while browsing porn in another.
j/k about the first part
Hey look, Iggles just got Eric Rowe. Sorry CC
