Re: Draft thread
I believe OT Abe Lucas is still on the board. We have a million tackles, but if he falls to 102 that's a hard guy to pass up. Or Isaiah Spiller?? Perrion Winfrey?
I'm feeling center Luke Wattenberg in round 4.
LB Nakobe Dean is dropping like a stone...there are issues with his neck and knee, and a torn pec. He may not even get drafted?

Re: Draft thread
I could have sworn that Chenal was taken already, but he's still on the board. Could have some nice options at 102!
Re: Draft thread
Hoping Zach Tom is still there at 102. Max Mitchell is also a possibility, still there at 87 as I type this, both of them.
Other strong possibilities: Jalen Tolbert, Leo Chanel, Jamaree Salyer, Khalil Shakir.

Re: Draft thread
102 is looking good right now...should have a lot of choices to make.
Titans take Malik Willis!

Scratch Tolbert, Dallas picked him. Nice replacement for Cooper.

Re: Draft thread
The Titans can get out of that awful Tannehill contract after this season, so Malik likely becomes the starter in the 2023 season if he's ready.
Re: Draft thread
Yes, very good pick for Dallas with Tolbert. Replaces Wilson for them as a deep threat IMO.
Re: Draft thread
Kingsley Enagbare still there as well, pass rusher I figured would go earlier. But, all in all, with the C's gone I'm hoping for Zach Tom.

Re: Draft thread
Zamir White still available? He's probably a better fit than Spiller because of speed.
The more I think about it, I think Tom or Chenal would be my top choices.

Re: Draft thread
Dawn Aponte just announced the Bengals pick and I heard her saying "Zach"...I thought we lost Tom. But it was Zachary Carter! LOL
Re: Draft thread
On the clock with both Chenal and Tom available. QB Sam Howell also.

Re: Draft thread
Hearing Phins may trade down? Could be a smart move with so much talent still left. Can't trade down too far though...
Re: Draft thread
Channing Tindall it is! Solid enough IMO. Fills a need, decent value for the spot. I would have preferred Zach Tom, but Tindall is a good fit too.

Re: Draft thread
Tindall has the one thing lacking from our front 7: SPEED. Dude is fast as lightning and a great tackler. I think the Phins will use him as a blitzer, and a spy for guys like Josh Allen and Zach Wilson. I prefer big LBs like Chenal, but this is a quality pick, especially at this point in the draft.

We definitely needed an athletic LB. He really adds a dynamic element to this D.

Re: Draft thread
Sure wish it had been Muma (sighs).
Oh well. They needed a LB, they didn't trade away next year's picks to get one, and TBH I'd rather have Tindall than Chenal, who is obsolete for the modern NFL. I'm telling you now, he won't be able to cover anyone at the NFL level. Teams know this and that's why he fell as far as he did. Everybody had Chenal as a perfect fit for the Pats and when they passed him up that should've told you something.
Also, Dean's a shrimp who will get manhandled in the NFL, which is why he fell so far. IMO Tindall is the better pick and always was.
I say trade up for Tom. It won't be that far, and the price shouldn't be that high. If it takes both 7th so be it. Better than settling for some nobody at 125. Just say NO to Spiller. He bombed against Alabama, which is the closest thing to an NFL D he ever faced. If the Fins go RB I'd much rather have Pierce. But Tom's my current #1 guy.
I'll give this draft a B so far. Didn't like picking so low, but glad there were at least some reasonable options left.

Re: Draft thread
IMO the biggest surprise of Day 2 was Luke Goedeke being taken a round ahead of his far more hyped up teammate Bernhard Raimann This tells me that teams reflected my opinion that Raimann was a project player who will need at least a year of development before even being considered for a starting job. The way this draft has gone has surprisingly reflected my opinion of a lot of players, which is unusual for teams to do. No wonder I was so confused by mock draft rankings!
Titans kinda sorta being to makeup for the idiotic AJ Brown trade by taking the draft's best QB in the 3rd round after 2 other ones were selected. I refuse to believe Pickett and Ridder are better than him.
The Jets and Bills getting Hall and Cook could be very bad though The Jets' draft in particular is scaring me.
Also here's an interesting tidbit.

The 54 picks between Ridder and new Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett was the longest stretch between the first two quarterbacks selected in the draft since 1975.

Re: Draft thread
If I had to bet on it, Robinson would be my best guess at 125 unless Tom gets there, then he's the likely pick. There are good OT possibilities in Jones, Burford and (potentially) Waletzko. Burford would be my choice out of the three, since he's 21 and has a lot of experience and potential. Doubs is clearly the best WR left as the others have questions. (I'd take Josh Johnson or Dai'Jean Dixon on a flyer late)

Re: Draft thread
Ok, I just did a run-through on PFF. Traded away everything except 229 (from Seattle) where I took WR Dixon.
Going into today, a 5th and a 7th in 2023. After my mock, Atlanta's 4th, Jacksonville and Seattle's 5th's, Seattle's 6th, and two 7th rounders in 2023 getting us to 11 total picks and coverage in each round. Added a 7th in 2024 also.
