I'd agree if they had not made the offseason moves they did. I think we go LB or D line, probably interior.

I'm with ya, and I don't disagree. I just wish they could fix the OL finally.
LB is a gigantic need, but they don't seem to think so when you listen to them talk.

I honestly think they feel they are going to move TJ McDonald to OLB. Hey, he's right at kiko's size. We know how they just love his play the past couple years.

I've read that so many places, and 316 guaranteed it, so I'm taking that to the bank.

Hurst is still on the board! Rudolph is still there. Royce Freeman who I really like but shouldn’t be picked higher then a 4th.

Did I hear that right? Did the Colts have 4 picks in the 2nd round?

Welcome Jerome Baker
Seems like they are gearing up the pass coverage. Baker got range and speed. We definitely got faster at the position.

I not surprise that Miami got another OLB since Alonso and McMillian. Baker is tall be lean like a safety

Re: 2018 NFL Draft Thread
Mike Gesicki! What a great pick!!! This is my favorite Phins draft since JJ was running the show. Gesicki is the huge difference-maker TE we've needed for years. Loved seeing his basketball highlights on NFL. This is exactly what we needed!!
Not a fan of the Baker pick...I don't like tiny LBs. I would have preferred Shaq Griffin. But the Phins are clearly making an effort to become faster and more athletic everywhere. It's about damn time.
Fitzpatrick and Gesicki alone make this an excellent draft, even if we whiff on everything else.

BTW...David Akers announcing the Eagles pick and totally trashing the Cowboys was one of the all-time great draft moments!!!

I enjoyed Jerry Kramer too.

Yep.
And what a class job by the Bills - Andre Reed and Freddy Jackson bringing Pancho Billa up on stage. Man, that was AWESOME!
Re: 2018 NFL Draft Thread
Well, it's a strong first two days, best in quite some time. Fitzpatrick and Gesicki were great picks.
Nothing against Baker, but I don't pass on Rudolph there. I'll put it this way: the Steelers have consistently been the best long-term thinking organization in this league. They've had 3 coaches in 50 years, they are consistently letting guys go at just the right time: Timmons was only the most recent example. And they took this guy three spots after we passed. Mark my words: he will succeed Big Ben and start for over a decade.

Yeah, that's a great landing spot for Rudolph. Probably best-case scenario for him.
The Baker pick is a real head-scratcher to me...a lot of better players available at that pick, especially if they wanted a LB. I get the desire to get faster and more athletic, but I hate using an early 3rd on a guy that will never be more than a role player and special teamer.
Re: 2018 NFL Draft Thread
Ballage is a good out-of-the-backfield receiver and good in X-and-short situations and goal line. We haven't had money like that since Lou Polite. He's a bit upright, but so was Ajayi. They say his field vision isn't great, but we'll see. Only the elite RBs can really be figured out before the pro level. A lot of these guys from Rounds 3 forward are pegged entirely wrong by the experts anyway. Scheme, blocking, teammates, play calling, coaching have a lot to do with production in college.

I'd like to see Foerster do our 6th round pick from Vegas after gagging a rail off some hooker's ass.

Went to work at 4pm fri and got home 7am sat so spent the day napping. I will read up on all the picks and see what you guys say. Love the Jersey connection with 1&2 but not happy no QB. If Gase and Tanny sink the ship in 2018 #1 pick in 2019 QB.

It did seem that way. Can't give a grade higher than B- because of that.
