In 2-3 years, we may be talking about Weaver as the steal of the entire draft. Seriously.

Almost Time for another Pick. Another Safety or WR

Dallas is doing a great job. Biadasz has a legitimate chance to replace Frederick.

My guesses:
WR James Proche, WR Donovan Peoples Jones, RB Eno Benjamin, DB Javelin Guidry
EDIT: I think RB Michael Warren is still there too...

Thinking there was better value than Ferguson on the board here.

That must have been a Dart Throw Pick.

Re: DRAFT THREAD DAY 3
Phins get Blake Ferguson, long snapper from LSU.
Considered the top LS in the country, and a special teams ace. Voted a team captain the past two seasons.
He's a lock to make the team IMO, but still a strange selection with all the talent available.
Phins throwing the special teams coach a bone with this one! LOL

A few decisions are head-scratchers, but if you'd told me beforehand we'd come away with Tua, Weaver, Jackson, Hunt and Kindley and trade for Breida, I would have been thrilled.

Re: DRAFT THREAD DAY 3
Ferguson is going to be a day one "starter", so I guess you'd have to consider that good value in the 6th. The Phins have placed a premium on special teams this offseason - this is now the 4th key STs acquisition in free agency and the draft, and I'm hearing that Strowbridge is a core special teamer as well so that's 5. Working on buiilding a complete team in all 3 phases.

Seems odd but if he's the best in the country then so be it. Hopefully we won't have to worry about it again for another 15 years. John Denney's replacement.
Though how did they guy do last year who replaced Denney after he was cut?

Re: DRAFT THREAD DAY 3
I guess competition is a good thing. We still have two picks left.
Forgot to add Davis to my list earlier. That makes an NFL ready RB with a fifth rounder, plus a QB, three good O-line prospects and two good D-line prospects at least. That's a fine draft. All five linemen were players I would have expected to be gone by the end of Day 2.

The best thing about the Dolphins LS is his name - Taybor Pepper! I thought he did fine last season, but I guess the Phins must really like this kid Ferguson. I read somewhere that even though he's "just" a long snapper, he was a leader in the LSU locker room.

Voted team captain twice is what I read.

Ferguson (6'3/229) was considered the best snapper of snaps that must travel a longer distance than typical snaps by those who evaluate such things. He will bring national championship experience to plays that require the ball be snapped farther back than usual.

Okay, so I understand the Fins have traded for Matt Breida, is this correct?

Yes, they traded a 5th for Breida.
Re: DRAFT THREAD DAY 3

Yeah, he should get more opportunities in Miami than he did in San Fran. He's a nice complement to Jordan Howard. We have a really solid backfield now.
Re: DRAFT THREAD DAY 3
So we basically ended up trading Kenyan Drake for Matt Breida. Ok with me.

Yeah, looking at it that way I'll definitely take that.
