The moral of the story: if you play in the NFL, gambling is worse than sexual harassment/misconduct/assault.

Just so we are all clear on this: Calvin Ridley gets a one-year suspension for gambling on games while he wasn't even playing in the NFL, and Deshaun Watson gets 6 games for 'sexual misconduct' against more than two dozen women.

I'd actually laugh if this wasn't so outrageous and disgusting.

We knew this way back when the NFL refused to punish Ray Rice at all even after VIDEOTAPE EVIDENCE of his misogyny--until enough people wondered why and they "had" to. And yes, I still remember stories about multiple women wearing "Free Rice" shirts.

But hey, as long as the NFL makes everybody wear pink for a month to let women know they really really care very deeply about breast cancer it's all good, right? Rolling Eyes

It truly is amazing to watch all these holier-than-thou witch hunters pick and choose where to direct their anger...the hypocrisy is staggering. "Let's crucify this person who really didn't do anything wrong, but that serial sexual assaulter over there? He gets a pass."

They've been doing this all along. The current puppet--um, president is another example. More people are noticing this every day thankfully.

Also, as a follower of MMA Conor McGregor makes Watson look like Gandhi, and it's the same complete lack of any objection by the same people.

In the Browns vs. Jags game yesterday, Jags' fans repeatedly chanted "You sick fuck!" when Watson was on the field! I love it!!

Just found out why it's 11 games--that means Watson's first game back will be against the Texans. Seriously. I cannot make this stuff up.

Damn, that is a major hype move by the NFL. That game is going to be the talk of the media world leading up to it.

Of course, I'm sure the narrative will be how poor, misunderstood Deshaun has overcome adversity to get back to the game he loves, or some such load of crap. Rolling Eyes

Shaking off the rust after a year and 10 months between games

Likely nothing but male masseuses from now on stipulated in his contract

Has to play in Cleveland

Has to pull the old Jeffrey Toobin/Pee Wee Herman from now on instead of finding a female friend to help him out

According to Watson he didn't do nothing.

I miss America. I miss when law was applied equally. I miss news media that reported on all wrongs regardless of who committed the wrong. I miss right and wrong.

And now because somebody else was accused, Florio has suddenly decided to do a complete 180 on how he's viewed Watson for at least a year and a half now. Suddenly he's not a poor put-upon victim anymore and women matter again.
