I'll say this...anyone saying that Grier always plays it safe and doesn't swing for the fences just got shot down.  Waddle is a home run swing.  It could be a strikeout...but it could be a grand slam.  Personally, I'm excited to see an offense that isn't as fun as watching paint dry.  If we can get a stud RB, there's a chance this offense becomes special real quick.

Eagles make up for the Reagor over Jefferson mistake last year. Big time. Now THIS is how you do a draft!

All Grier had to do was stay at 12 and Smith would've fallen to him but nooooo, he had to get all cutesy and give away a first to take an inferior WR!!!

I'm gonna go and cut myself now just so I can rub salt in the wound.

You guys better hope my source isn't right about Grier picking Oweh at 18, that's all I've got to say!!!

Smith was my favorite player in the draft.  That hasn't changed.  But that ship has sailed.  I've chosen to move on and focus on who we actually got, instead of a player the Eagles got.  Waddle is a Phin, and whether I wanted him or not, I'm now thinking of how he fits in and what the Phins will do with him.  Moving forward, not looking back. 

Plus, I liked Waddle better than Chase.  I'm just happy to see an offense loaded with playmakers.

Wrong.  First, Smith was going 11 to the Giants.  Second, the Phins had Waddle ranked above Smith.  It may not be what you or I would have done, but the Dolphins landed their target.  I'm fine with that.  Now, let's just hope it works out the way they project.

How sad is it that the best thing that'll happen to the Fins in this draft is the Cowboys grabbing Parsons?

First, we have no way of knowing that. I don't remember seeing a single mock with the Giants taking Smith, at all. The Eagles simply wanted to get ahead of two division rivals just to make sure, nothing more.

Second, a major reason this team hasn't won a playoff game in 20 years is because they keep rating the wrong players high. They had Jamar Fletcher rated over Brees, Ronnie Brown over Rodgers, Jake Long over Ryan, etc. So you'll have to excuse me if I think their assessment of who's better than who in the draft is a bunch of bullshit.

I liked Parsons. The Cowboys hit a home run with that pick. That's why Jones is a higher rated GM than our GM.

Gesicki really won me over this past season.  Agreed...extend him!

Some people are saying that Waddle might be the fastest NFL player ever as far as game speed.  It's going to be strange to see the Dolphins putting not one but two speed demons on the field together!  About damn time.

The Giants were taking Waddle or Smith - whichever one was available at 11.  That's all I heard from day one.  When both were gone, they traded out.

The bottom line is, what's done is done.  No one has any idea how any of these guys are going to be in the NFL.  But I'm just trying to move on and play the cards we've been dealt.

Definitely hoping Oweh isn't the pick at 18. Etienne would be my preference, the way this is playing out. Though Harris, Darrisaw, Owusu-Koramorah all look like strong possibilities.

Agreed.  I have Etienne going to the Cards, but either he or Harris will be there at 18 and both would arguably be BPA.  Or do we trade down??
