I would have preferred Smith, but I'm willing to give the benefit of a doubt. At least a genuine effort to bring in a playmaker has been made.

If lions take Smith and he has a better career or even year than Waddle you've got to fire Grier.

Just got off the phone with my brother...he wanted Waddle, I wanted Smith!  LOL

I'm happy with the pick, despite the fact that I absolutely think Smith was the correct pick.  Waddle is a speed demon and a playmaker. 

You can see the plan they have...the Dolphins now have two incredible deep threats, and tons of speed on offense.  This is going to be a VERY dynamic offense, and Tua is going to have tons of options now.  I'm expecting a much more creative offense than what Gailey ran.

And, Waddle means that Grant is gone...so that's a bonus!  LOL

I am shocked, because I thought Smith was the ideal fit...but adding a player that could be the next Tyreek Hill has me excited!

I guess speed and familiarity can help but 5.9 coming off ankle injury. Guess see how it plays out but so far the maneuvering looks like a fail except gaining extra #1.

Maybe we could still trade up from 18 and get Smith too.

This is the source I was telling you guys about who had the Fins taking Waddle and Jayson Oweh. Looks like he's nailed every pick so far except for the Lions getting Sewell instead of LA.

Phins supposedly had Waddle #2 on their draft board, behind Lawrence.  Very interesting...placing a high value on playmakers - that is a welcome change!

I trade up and pick up Micah.

Grier has shown one thing consistently in the draft--he loves him some injury-prone players.

Not a fail from the team's perspective.  Waddle is who they targeted all along, and they ended up getting him 3 spots later and added a few picks.  That's a big win for Grier.  We can argue about where Waddle should have been ranked, but the Phins wanted him and they got him.  Time will tell!

The size doesn't concern me...most slot receivers are about that size.  Tyreek Hill is basically the same size as Waddle.

We'll see how it plays out.  A lot of people liked Waddle better, so who knows.  It'll be interesting to watch the two of them and see who ends up being the best.  All I know is, the Phins have gone from a slow boring offense to a fast dynamic offense overnight.  Fuller and Waddle give us speed that we've NEVER had before.

Football Outsiders gave the Fins' pick the second lowest grade ONLY because the Panthers went for Horn instead of a QB. If they had picked Smith the grade would've been quite a bit higher seeing as they're the ones who forecasted Smith being the top WR of this class.

Eagles and Cowboys make a trade!  Cats and dogs living together!!  WTF!

  That's the beauty of the draft...everyone has their favorites.  All we can do now is hope it was the right choice!
