DRAFT 2021 round 1: rumors, projections, news, etc.

Steelers get Harris!  That's an absolutely ideal fit.  He's going to do some damage in Pittsburgh.  But they do need to fix their OL.

This is where the perennial good teams make solid picks that keep them in the 20-32 area of the draft.

This puts the Bills in line to take Etienne at 30.  But considering they never run the ball, I wonder if they'd use a first on a back?  Their run D is weak so they could go DL too.  Maybe Barmore or Onwuzurike.

Unless someone moves up into the bottom of the first for a back, there's a chance Etienne and/or Williams will fall right into the Dolphins' laps...if they even want a back that high.

Steelers helped themselves. I also like what George Paton has done in Denver. I had Surtain as the top defensive player in the draft, and getting Bridgewater for a 6th rounder is a considerable upgrade at QB IMO.

Yep, Broncos are making some good moves.  Next up could be Aaron Rodgers...I hear they're really gunning for him!

Bateman is a great addition for Baltimore.

Sitting here thinking about a 5-wide set with:

Waddle and Williams outside, Gesicki and Waddle in the slot, and Parker in the 'middle slot' on one side.  That's fucking deadly!!!!  They just have to stay healthy!

Absolute stunner since they got Robinson for essentially nothing at all last year. He was undrafted!

what about Fuller?

While my mock draft has been disastrous in terms of who went where, so far the only 2 players drafted that I didn't have in the first are Jamin Davis and Caleb Farley...and I had both of them in the first in earlier mocks.  I only dropped Farley because of his bad back, but he's a good player.

Surprised Rousseau is still available.  I know he screwed up his Pro Day, but in a weak pass rush draft I thought he'd be gone already.

I LOVE Etienne, but it just seems like a crazy pick.  Doesn't make any sense to me.  Robinson scored 10 total TDs, had almost 50 catches and averaged 4.5 yards a carry - as an undrafted rookie on a terrible team.  Like I said, maybe they trade JRob???

Eric Stokes to Pack - interesting pick.  Great combo of size, speed, toughness...just not sure how good he actually is.  Seems like a bit of a reach to me.

Have to think the Packers will draft a slot receiver at some point...that's really their only need on offense.

I would be happy with Sermon as a fallback option, even with the injury history...the boy is good!  Of course, we could wait till day three and bring da Funk - and make FF happy!

Ravens take Oweh.  Great spot for him...if they can't develop him, no one can.  Not a fan of his, but the fit makes sense.

That said, in the 2nd, I'd be happy with Carter from NC as well.

Yeah, I think the Phins love Carter.  He's smaller than I'd like, but he is a beast.  Amazing how many tackles he breaks at his size.  Chuba would be a sneaky good pick...I feel like his best days are ahead of him.  Still, I'd love to land Williams.

Owusu-Koramoah is a great value at this point.

Barmore has also fallen further than I would have thought.  Olujari too. Marshall and Moehring still there as well.

Hoping for Javonte Williams at 36 tomorrow at this point (TB's pick left) but Jenkins and Moehring would fill needs also.
